Nia Mitchell was overjoyed, but her delight was about to turn into a comical tragedy.
Before her chopsticks could even reach for the Sweet and Sour Spareribs, she was pulled into Maxwell Peary’s arms.
Maxwell Peary muted her babbling mouth with a kiss. Hmm, the world is quiet now, so damn beautiful, he thought.
The softness of her lips made him linger, and he instinctively deepened the kiss.
He adored her taste, her soft, sweet lips.
A single kiss was enough to send heat coursing through his entire body. He was desperate to find an outlet for this sudden fire.
Nia’s body went numb from the kiss; she felt boneless, leaning entirely against Maxwell Peary.
Seeing Nia’s eyes glistening, Maxwell Peary felt even thirstier. Without further ado, he swept her into his arms and carried her towards the Waiting Room.
"Max... Maxwell..." Nia had been lost in that deep kiss. By the time she regained her senses, Maxwell Peary had already opened the door to the Waiting Room.
"Hmm?" He looked down at little Rabina in his arms, a pleased expression on his face. Her cheeks were flushed, looking like a ripe fruit ready for picking.
"I... I’m hungry." She had already told him she was hungry. Did he even understand what that meant?
She wanted to eat! Those Sweet and Sour Spareribs were lying forlornly in the food container, waiting for her to enjoy them.
Why was she being taken further and further away from them? What were they going to do in the Waiting Room?
"Coincidentally, I’m hungry too," Maxwell Peary said leisurely, opening the Grand Gate and tossing her onto the large bed in the Waiting Room.
"If you’re hungry, then go eat!" Nia yelled. She thrashed on the large bed for a few moments before finally managing to scramble off it.
A bed is a dangerous thing, she’d thought ever since she turned twenty.
Maxwell Peary chuckled and nodded. "Indeed. When one is hungry, one should eat their fill." As he spoke, he began unbuttoning his shirt.
"Maxwell... Don’t joke. We’re at the Company." She forced a smile, terrified that if his wolfish nature flared, there would be nothing left of her.
"I know we’re in the Company." But so what if they were? This was his Company. Would anyone dare to question him?
With two swift strides, little Rabina, caught off guard, landed back in the arms of the big bad wolf.
"My little vixen..." His self-control, usually a source of pride, had completely crumbled since meeting this Nia Mitchell.
Maxwell Peary bent down to kiss her sweet lips, then trailed kisses down her neck.
"Mmm..." Nia squirmed uncomfortably, pressing her hands between them, trying to maintain her last line of defense.
Maxwell Peary ripped Nia’s obstructive clothes to shreds and tossed them aside.
"Ah! My clothes!" Nia shrieked. How could he just rip her clothes like that? She was at the Company! With her clothes ruined, what was she supposed to wear to work?
Nia was so preoccupied with her clothes that she forgot her upper body was now clad only in a bra.
Maxwell Peary stared intently at her fair, firm breasts before him. Remnants of last night’s love bites, a mottled spread of bluish-purple bruises, were still visible.
He couldn’t withstand such a potent stimulus. Without hesitation, he pressed his heated lips against her skin, gently nibbling.
"HISS— Be gentle! That hurts!" Nia froze, pulling back with all her strength, but she couldn’t escape his mouth.
"Be good," Maxwell Peary murmured. His hot palm found her hand. He held it gently, guiding her small hands to his belt.
