"Why bother coming in for just half a day? What can you possibly get done?"
Nia Mitchell ignored her and went straight to her seat.
"Just get back to the work you didn’t finish."
Seeing Nia Mitchell ignore her, Phoebe Walker found it dull. Besides, with her birthday tomorrow, she didn’t want to pick a fight with her.
"Nia Mitchell, why did you take leave?" Diana Hill suddenly asked, catching Nia Mitchell off guard.
"Just some personal matters," she replied casually, then stood up with her water cup to get some water.
"Nia Mitchell, go make me a cup of coffee," Phoebe Walker suddenly ordered.
Following her lead, many others chimed in.
Reluctantly, Nia Mitchell stood up to make coffee. Luckily, the coffee machine was in the Secretary Department, not far away.
"Diana Hill, would you like one?"
Nia Mitchell nodded, brewed a cup, and served it to Phoebe Walker first.
