Lai Shuo nodded. "Yes! I’ve already moved her things up."
"Move them out!" Xiao Linye’s face darkened instantly. He then shot Lai Shuo a fierce glare.
"Move... move them out?" Lai Shuo stammered.
"Move her to the Business Department!" Xiao Linye commanded, his voice stern.
"She doesn’t want to be in the Business Department," Lai Shuo said.
"She personally said she wants to work on the same floor as me?" Xiao Linye asked, his voice laced with rising anger and a heavy sense of oppression.
Lai Shuo hurriedly shook his head. "No, that’s not it."
"You guessed?" Xiao Linye’s voice grew colder.
Lai Shuo fell silent. Isn’t the implication of her unwillingness to be in the Business Department that she wants to work with him?
However, under Xiao Linye’s oppressive gaze, Lai Shuo ultimately didn’t dare to nod. Then I’ll just have to move her to another floor, he decided.

She nodded. "Alright then. Why don’t you try calling me that now?"
Ye Yuning merely gave Chen Wei a cold look.

This boss, acting so eccentrically and mysteriously. They’re just going to the Xiao Corporation to set up an office, and the boss doesn’t even want to be the boss anymore? Is she that shaken?

"When people from Manlang are present, call me Manager Xiao. Understood?" Xiao Linye reiterated.
Lai Shuo was silent for a moment. He understood the instruction. But why? Is the boss playing some kind of game with Director Ye from Manlang? Or could it be that she doesn’t know his true identity after... sleeping with him?
At this thought, Lai Shuo had an epiphany!
His mouth twitched as he looked at Xiao Linye. "Does Director Ye not know your identity?"

Xiao Linye raised an eyebrow. "Whether she knows my identity or not, is that important?"
