In another villa, James Grant received a life-threatening call early in the morning.
Harrison Grant’s tone was more severe than ever before.
"James Grant, are you really with Evelyn Clayton?"
"Yes, didn’t I make it clear enough yesterday?" James Grant raised his eyebrows nonchalantly.
"I’m warning you, don’t get too close to Evelyn Clayton, and absolutely don’t date her! Evelyn Clayton and Matthew Sullivan must not break off their engagement!"
Harrison Grant’s warning was serious.
Yet, James Grant detected an unusual tone amidst the sternness.
"Are you trying so hard to prevent me from being with Evelyn Clayton because you have other plans?" James Grant chuckled lightly, but the laughter didn’t reach his eyes.
Harrison Grant outright denied it.
"Don’t change the subject, this engagement involves more than just you and Evelyn Clayton, you can’t act recklessly, remember my words, otherwise if things escalate, you won’t be able to handle it!"
James Grant sneered coldly, "If I dare to make trouble, I’m not afraid to handle it."
With that, he hung up the phone directly.
After settling the disputes in the Grant family, Evelyn Clayton only had one peaceful day.
The next day, as soon as she arrived at the studio, a call from Charlotte Sterling came in.
"Come home, I have something to tell you!"
Charlotte Sterling’s attitude was as cold as ever.
"No time." Evelyn Clayton curtly refused, intending to hang up.
As if predicting her intention, Charlotte Sterling raised her voice immediately, "If you don’t come back, don’t ever think about seeing your dad’s old watch again in this lifetime!"
Evelyn Clayton paused, her bright eyes gradually soaked with coldness.
She put the phone back to her ear, her voice turning icy, "Charlotte Sterling, do you have a conscience? That’s my dad’s only keepsake, and you’re using it to threaten me?"
Charlotte Sterling was indifferent.
"He’s already dead! It’s already benevolent for me to keep this thing, if you don’t come back, I’ll smash it now!"
The fury in Evelyn Clayton’s eyes grew stronger, but she could only grit her teeth and agree.
Her father did have a watch, which he always wore on him.
But after her father passed away, Evelyn Clayton couldn’t find it on his body.
Turns out Charlotte Sterling took it!
Evelyn Clayton returned to the Lockwood Family, seeing Philip Lockwood and his family waiting in the living room.
"Where’s my dad’s watch?" Evelyn Clayton directly stretched out her hand towards Charlotte Sterling.
"Didn’t even greet the family upon returning? Such an ill-mannered thing!" Charlotte Sterling sarcastically nitpicked.
"My dad is already dead, what kind of family are you talking about!" Evelyn Clayton said coldly, "Give me the watch!"
Iris Lockwood raised the watch in her hand and shook it.
"I have it! As long as you find a way to get Uncle Grant to agree to me marrying Matthew Sullivan, I’ll give it to you!"

Poked at her sore spot, Iris Lockwood was furious with embarrassment, immediately raising her hand, about to smash the watch in her hand.
Evelyn Clayton shouted sharply, "You dare!"
Before they could react, she grabbed a fruit knife on the table and lunged fiercely towards Iris Lockwood.
"Ah!" Iris Lockwood screamed, backing away in fear, "Dad! Dad! Evelyn Clayton has gone mad, help! Charlotte Sterling, control your daughter!"
