Flirted Wrong, Married Right Chapter 164

James Grant curved his lips, and with a swift motion, he wrapped his large hand around her slender waist and pulled her into his arms, leaning in close to her ear.

"Your lying skills have regressed."

"Your shamelessness is truly unmatched."

Evelyn Clayton pinched his arm with her fingers, leaving a mark, forcing him to let go, and then turned to walk away.

"Where are you going? Since you’re already here, don’t waste your time."

James Grant, relentless, followed her a few steps and firmly grasped her hand.

She raised her eyes in surprise, meeting his slightly raised gaze.

"James Grant! Calling you shameless is really letting you off easy!"

Evelyn Clayton, unable to match his strength, gritted her teeth as he dragged her along.

Back in the vast shopping mall, James Grant, as if he were shopping with his girlfriend, held her hand, browsing through various luxury boutiques, and upon seeing a nice bag, he would say just one thing.

The female clerks in the mall cast envious, jealous glances at her.

Which woman wouldn’t want to meet a man who buys bags at the slightest disagreement in her lifetime?

Ironically, Evelyn Clayton didn’t like it.

Finally, Evelyn Clayton couldn’t hold anything else in her hand.

She simply stood still, refusing to move.

James Grant turned to look at her.

She wore a cold sneer, her eyes narrowed like a phoenix’s, particularly piercing.

"Director Grant is truly lingering among flowers, mastering the preferences of women to the extreme."

She intentionally jabbed at him, this man with a naturally wanton nature, yet still showing utmost diligence towards her.

Who knows if this was the same act he put on when he initially came with Clara Yates?

James Grant recognized the sting in her words, unfazed: "You’re too kind. It’s just that I’ve mastered your preferences perfectly."

Indeed, everything seemed to suit her taste.

Though she didn’t voice it, he observed carefully the expressions she revealed upon seeing certain things.

She pouted, but just the thought of his engagement with the Yates Family was like a thorn in her heart.

"Alright, enough playing, let’s go home."

Evelyn Clayton spoke with a chill in her tone, causing James Grant to slightly frown.

He carried a heap of items in his hands, staring at her slender silhouette.

"What else is there?"

Evelyn Clayton turned around, her tone clearly impatient.

James Grant’s frown deepened, his gaze was dark as he pressed his thin lips together, yet what he said was this. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ novel⚑fire.net

"Stay for another hour."

"James Grant, if you have time to please me, why don’t you please your fiancée?"

In an instant, James Grant’s expression turned even darker.

Evelyn Clayton’s irritated mood worsened, impatiently waving her hand, turning away without looking back.

They had parted acrimoniously countless times already.

Returning to the studio, Evelyn Clayton wore a despondent expression, unmistakably evident.

Yara Reagan immediately noticed her off mood, hurriedly coming over to ask.

"What, wasn’t it enjoyable with that playboy of yours?"

Unpleasant, quite unpleasant indeed.

Evelyn Clayton’s abruptly irritable demeanor said it all.

Yara Reagan understood well.

She had just returned to her desk when a delivery person arrived at the door.

Yara Reagan opened the door and was instantly shocked: "Have you struck it rich? So many luxury items?!"

Evelyn Clayton knew it was the stuff James Grant had bought, sent over.

Feeling chaotic, she supported her forehead with her hand and shook her head: "It’s all yours, go ahead and use it."

Yara Reagan raised her eyebrows: "Not bad, Director Grant was quite extravagant today, and yet it made you upset?"

She sneered, her mind flooded with scenes of James Grant shopping with Clara Yates, inexplicably making her feel like she was inheriting them.

Evelyn Clayton didn’t want things that others didn’t have time to want, saying coldly: "Take it all away."

Yara Reagan heard that she was in a huff and didn’t say much, handling the pile of items and putting them in the lounge, then made a call.
