Flirted Wrong, Married Right Chapter 194

Evelyn Clayton took the files and examined them meticulously.

The collaboration funds listed were crystal clear, almost all were the partnerships between Summer Monroe’s late husband and the Grant Family, with each sum reaching tens of millions.

"Even though Summer became a widow, she didn’t lose out."

Matthew Sullivan looked at those funds one by one, and said harshly.

Recognizing the jealousy in his tone, Evelyn Clayton ignored him.

The files turned to the operations taken over by Summer after her husband’s death, and the cooperation with the Grant Family was predominantly handled by Summer.

Her eyes suddenly focused on one spot, her brows slightly furrowing.

The Monroe Family’s recent cooperation with the Grant Family reached a staggering billion!

Evelyn Clayton pointed to that astonishing sum and looked up at James Grant, asking in surprise, "Did you know that the Grant Family received a billion investment from their cooperation with Summer?"

Upon hearing this, before James Grant could respond, Matthew Sullivan’s jaw dropped: "How much?! A billion?!"

James Grant was also a bit stunned, his eyes clear and cool, aloof yet imposing.

The cooperation between the Grant Family and Summer was handled by Harrison Grant, he was never involved.

He really didn’t know Summer had such a large-scale investment, a billion, and it wasn’t the first collaboration.

Suddenly, Summer Monroe appeared at the entrance of the archive room, holding a contract.

Evelyn Clayton hid the files behind her, acting as if nothing had happened.

Summer Monroe walked up to James Grant with the contract.

"Director Grant, the contract is here, since everyone is present, how about signing it here?"

Saying this, Summer Monroe handed over a pen she had prepared in advance to James Grant.

James Grant’s long, narrow phoenix eyes resembled an eagle in the night.

He glanced at the contract indifferently but did not move, his thin lips pressed in silent contemplation.

In the awkward silence, Evelyn Clayton silently stood between them, cutting off Summer Monroe’s line of sight.

"Miss Monroe, since I was the one who agreed to the cooperation, should I not be the one to sign?"

Marcus indicated he didn’t want James Grant to take advantage and chimed in, "Yeah, if James Grant doesn’t want to cooperate, shouldn’t he let Evelyn sign?"

Behind them, James Grant lazily had his hands in his pockets, saying nothing.

His clear and distinct eyes remained calm, as he looked down at the person in front of him with unusually calm eyes.

Summer Monroe smiled tactfully: "My apologies, Miss Clayton, Director Grant represents The Grant Group. He is the president of The Grant Group, of course, my trust lies with him, that’s understandable." For more chapters visit NoveIꜰire.net

Upon hearing this, Evelyn Clayton’s eyes narrowed, her gaze cold yet brimming with aggression.

"Miss Monroe, don’t forget, I was the one who brought this cooperation about. Am I just to serve as a matchmaker with no benefits, playing the fool?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a low chuckle resounded above, relaxed and indifferent.

She looked back, irritated, shooting a glance at James Grant.

He didn’t seem to mind, the corners of his eyes lifted slightly, his lips curving with a hint of a smile, "You continue."

Evelyn Clayton rolled her eyes at him, turning back with resolute determination.

"Miss Monroe, let me be clear, either James Grant and I sign together for the joint cooperation, or this collaboration is canceled."

Her tone was firm, leaving Summer Monroe no room for hesitation.

Matthew Sullivan continued to provoke Summer Monroe on the side: "Taking advantage and acting naive, Miss Monroe, doesn’t suit you."

Summer Monroe was caught in a pinch, cornered by Evelyn Clayton into an awkward position.

She bit her teeth secretly, a trace of ruthlessness flashed in the depths of her eyes.

As a businesswoman, she understood the strategy of advancing by retreating.
