Evelyn Clayton stepped forward to support her, frowning and said, "Teacher, what are you doing? Get up first!"
But the homeroom teacher seemed to have made up her mind and refused to get up, pleading, "Sharon’s mom, if you don’t agree, I won’t stand up."

Sharon’s homeroom teacher, surnamed He, Evelyn had met several times before, and remembered her as a very approachable, methodical, and responsible teacher.
Evelyn really didn’t expect her to follow to the student’s home and cause such a scene.
