Evelyn Clayton slept for another two hours and it was still not nine o’clock when she woke up.
When she walked out of the room, James Grant was drinking coffee.
Seeing her come over, James Grant raised an eyebrow, "Want a cup?"
She didn’t like drinking such bitter things early in the morning.
"Then I’ll make you a cup of black tea."
Before she finished speaking, James Grant had already gone to the kitchen.
She had to sit by the window and enjoy the sun.
The last time she came, she didn’t notice that there were a few potted plants on James Grant’s balcony, all variously shaped succulents.
It was a bit of a cute contrast that James Grant would keep such plump and round things.
"Succulents are easy to care for, no need to fuss," James Grant placed the black tea in front of her and cautioned, "Be careful, it’s hot."
"I thought you wouldn’t like plants."
"Not really, just find it troublesome."
Evelyn knew that good succulents weren’t cheap, so she just glanced at them without daring to touch.
"You can touch them if you want," James Grant caught her intention and pushed the succulent towards her.
This was an invitation from the owner of the succulent, so Evelyn extended a finger to poke the plant, her eyes narrowing with a smile.
The sunlight outlined her delicate profile on her face, the smiling crescent eyes softening her usual coldness, making her look much gentler.
James Grant slightly curved his lips, "Feeling better now?"
"Then can you tell me why you went to The Black Moon last night?"
Evelyn’s expression changed at the mention of The Black Moon.
Noticing her change, James Grant raised an eyebrow.
"Is it inconvenient to say?"
If she told James about the photograph, he’d probably help her, making the investigation much easier.

With that, James Grant got up to leave.
Evelyn immediately grabbed his sleeve.
"I went to investigate a photograph."
"What photograph?" James Grant looked down at her.
"Yes. That day someone sent me a message with a photo of my dad when he was alive, telling me to go to The Black Moon Club if I wanted to know the truth, so that’s why I went."
"Where’s the photo? Let me see."
"The message disappeared, and I can’t find it no matter how I search."
James Grant frowned slightly and was about to speak when he suddenly received a call from Keith Donovan.
"I’ve found those people’s contact information, and I’ve arranged a place for you to meet them. You should head over. Some things are better discussed in person."
James Grant agreed to this point, but whether to bring Evelyn along was another matter.
Noticing his hesitation, Evelyn was puzzled, "What’s wrong?"
"I’ve tracked down that group of people. I’m going to meet them now."
Upon hearing this, Evelyn’s eyes brightened, "I’m going too."
Whether for revenge or to uncover the truth behind the photo, she had to go.
James Grant walked to the sofa, picked up a bag, and handed it to her.
"Go change your clothes. This is new, and I’ve already washed it for you."
Evelyn nodded to him in gratitude.
The clothes matched her usual style, and even the size was perfect.
"How much, I’ll transfer the money to you."
"I never charge when I give women something."
