Hearing Rebecca mention breaking up, Marcus felt his heart wrenching with pain, his eyes showing a look of absolute despair. Finally, he slowly released Rebecca’s hand.
Rebecca, with no lingering attachment, slammed the door and left.
Marcus sat alone in the car, burying his face in his hands, enduring the pain of heartbreak.
