Her skin was covered in a layer of tiny scale armor—her scales were the hardest shield. Regular bullets couldn’t penetrate; they just sparked against her hide!
The impact of the bullets could still cause her pain, but in Blood Fury’s third phase, Erin was nearly immune to pain!
She plunged into the crowd, wielding a bizarre long blade, swinging it hard—several heads flew into the air at once.
Liu San was the weakest of the four captains, but his ability was the most terrifying. Thanks to the organs grown inside him by Catastrophe modifications, he could produce toxins. With the wind in his favor, he slowly exhaled a cloud of poison.
The pale green smoke drifted downwind, landing near several zealots. As soon as they inhaled it, their noses and throats burned like fire.
Clutching their throats in agony, they collapsed to the ground, retching, drool and tears pouring out—they couldn’t do anything else at all. In the end, bullets riddled their squirming bodies like sieves.
With the powerful backup of the captains plus Bill Hawke, they smashed their way into the Apocalypse crowd, inflicting massive casualties and at the same time relieving the pressure on the Security Brigade soldiers and mercenary company fighters below.
The Security soldiers and mercenary fighters scattered quickly, found fresh cover, and started regrouping and fighting back.
Whether they were Security troops, merchant company gunners, or bandit-killers, all were veterans of bloody battle.
Most of the Apocalypse Society’s forces were just regular zealots—only a hundred or two were the rigorously trained Black Thorn members.
With the support of the powerhouse captains, the Security and merchant sides regained the upper hand in no time!
