"I'm sure all of you know that Chelsea, like Arsenal, is a London team," Wenger began with a confident smile. "That means tomorrow's game will be a London derby, and I have full faith in every single Arsenal player."
"We're going to win, no doubt about it!" he declared. "Chelsea is strong, yes, but Arsenal has the strategy to shut down Su Luo's shots. Just wait and see!"
Wenger's confidence radiated.
On the other side, Chelsea's head coach, Antonio Conte, was equally optimistic about the upcoming clash.
"We'll beat them too," Conte said calmly. "Arsenal is a strong team, but I believe in my players. There's one reason for my confidence: Chelsea doesn't lose at home."
8:00 PM, Stamford Bridge Stadium
Tens of thousands of Chelsea fans packed into the stands, eager for the match to begin. The excitement in the air was electric, and the chants for Su Luo echoed through the stadium even before kickoff.
The atmosphere was intense—this was a London derby, after all.
In the player tunnel, Chelsea and Arsenal players exchanged friendly greetings. Meanwhile, the online commentators were just as pumped, with Zhan Jun announcing the starting lineups.
"Welcome, everyone, to tonight's big match: Chelsea vs Arsenal, the highlight of the 2017-2018 season!" Zhan Jun said enthusiastically.
"Let's go over the starting rosters," he continued. "Here's how Chelsea lines up:
The three defenders: Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill, and David Luiz.
In midfield: Moses, Kante, Cesc Fabregas, and Marcos Alonso.
Up front: Willian and Su Luo, with Morata as the lone striker.
"As for Arsenal, here's their lineup:
In goal, former Chelsea keeper Petr Cech.
The three central defenders: Monreal, Mustafi, and Koscielny.
Four midfielders: Kolasinac, Xhaka, Ramsey, and Bellerin.
In attack: Iwobi and Welbeck.
And as the lone striker: Lacazette."
From the first whistle, Chelsea, playing at home, took control of the game. As the reigning champions and current league leaders, the Chelsea players were brimming with confidence, fully trusting in their abilities.
It didn't take long for Chelsea to put Arsenal under pressure.
As the offensive engine of the team, Su Luo quickly got the ball in midfield.
For Arsenal, this was far from good news.
In a flash, several Arsenal defenders closed in on him, with Xhaka and Ramsey leading the charge. They moved in to disrupt Su Luo's play, but he remained composed.
Just when it looked like they might stop him, Su Luo came to a sudden halt. Then, with a swift, smooth turn, he left the defenders in his wake, executing a brilliant move to break free.
