Throughout the following minutes, Choupo-Moting continued his onslaught, creating constant pressure on Chelsea's defense. Moses was the player assigned to mark him, and although Moses is also known for his speed, he struggled to keep up with Choupo-Moting.
The main problem was that Choupo-Moting's changes in pace were too unpredictable. Not only that, but he also had impressive physical strength, making it difficult for Moses to challenge him effectively.
In this battle, Moses simply wasn't a match for Choupo-Moting.
With a swift move, Choupo-Moting reached the byline and made a decisive cross into Chelsea's penalty area. Naturally, he was aiming for his teammate, Jesse.
Choupo-Moting's crossing ability was truly excellent, and the ball landed perfectly on Jesse's head.
Even though Chelsea's center-back Christensen tried to intervene, his efforts weren't enough to prevent Jesse from getting the header off.
And there it was—Jesse rose above the defense and sent a powerful header flying past Courtois' outstretched fingers.
At that moment, Jesse seemed to be Stoke City's savior. His header successfully brought Stoke City back into the game, making the score 3-2.
Without a doubt, this wasn't what Chelsea had anticipated.
It was clear that Stoke City's offensive momentum remained strong. Chelsea wouldn't have an easy time securing victory in this match.
For the current Chelsea players, the game was far from over.
