But unfortunately, the cross missed its mark, flying too far toward the far post.
Waiting at the far post was Hazard. While Hazard is an incredibly skilled player, headers aren't his strength. As the ball came his way, he couldn't get a clean touch, and Stones managed to clear it from danger.
Chelsea's attack ended in disappointment this time.
Shortly after, Manchester City seized control of the game's pace. Despite playing away, City's team was at least on par with Chelsea's in terms of talent, and in many positions, they even had an edge.
In midfield, Fernandinho received the ball. Rather than making a rushed pass, he decided to push forward with it himself.

It was a skillful play, catching Chelsea's defense slightly off-guard.
