In their last game, Fabregas had been isolated and forced to act alone, but tonight was different. With Su Luo up front, Fabregas finally had a reliable target for his trademark passes.
Fabregas launched a long ball into the box, and it landed perfectly at Su Luo's feet.
The crowd held their breath.
Bournemouth's defenders, Francis and Cook, rushed to close him down, their focus razor-sharp. They gave Su Luo no space to maneuver, their intent clear: no breakthroughs allowed.
But Su Luo stayed calm under pressure.
Instead of forcing his way through, he opted for a smart layoff, passing the ball back to Fabregas near the edge of the penalty area.
Moments earlier, Fabregas had created this chance with his precise pass, and now Su Luo returned the favor.
Fabregas didn't hesitate. He unleashed a powerful shot!
The ball flew toward the goal, but Bournemouth's goalkeeper, Begovic, reacted swiftly, diving to his right and making a sharp save.
The Chelsea fans groaned in frustration as the opportunity slipped away, while Bournemouth's supporters erupted in applause for their keeper's heroics.
Moments later, Bournemouth mounted their own attack.
Adam Smith, playing wide, became the focal point of their offense. Receiving the ball on the wing, Smith sprinted forward with purpose, shaking off pressure from Chelsea's midfield.
He quickly passed the ball to Stanislas, who was positioned in the center of the pitch. Bournemouth's counterattack was swift and well-organized, putting Chelsea's defense on high alert.
