Chelsea had seized the momentum, their players brimming with confidence.
The pressure shifted heavily onto Manchester United's shoulders.
There was no doubt about it—judging by the current lineup, Manchester United was facing an uphill battle. Winning an away game against this dominant Chelsea squad seemed like a daunting challenge.
After all, Chelsea's squad was clearly superior, both in talent and cohesion.
But Mourinho wasn't one to back down from a fight.
As Chelsea's former head coach, Mourinho believed he had a deep understanding of the team's strengths and weaknesses.
To him, no team was unbeatable—not even this one.
At Mourinho's instruction, Manchester United shifted their focus to the wings, aiming to exploit Chelsea's flanks with quick, incisive play.
It didn't take long for Herrera to launch a precise long ball toward Marcus Rashford, who had moved out wide to receive it.
"Herrera finds Rashford on the right!"
Known as Manchester United's rising star, Rashford was famed for his speed and ability to beat defenders one-on-one. This was his moment to shine.
With the ball at his feet, Rashford didn't hesitate. He accelerated immediately, a blur of motion on the right flank.
"What a burst of speed!"
Rashford's sheer pace allowed him to slip past Azpilicueta, who was caught off guard despite his reputation as a solid and quick defender.
Though Azpilicueta was skilled and had a respectable speed advantage over most players, Rashford's youthful explosiveness gave him the edge.
Once past Azpilicueta, Rashford cut inside decisively, showcasing his exceptional dribbling ability.
"Rashford is now cutting into the penalty area!"
"Will he take the shot himself?"
Just as commentator Zhan Jun finished his question, Chelsea's defensive stalwarts—N'Golo Kanté and Tiemoué Bakayoko—rushed to confront Rashford.
The sight of two elite defensive midfielders closing in caused Rashford a moment of doubt.
He knew their defensive reputation all too well.
After a split-second decision, Rashford opted to pass.
In one smooth motion, he played the ball across to Antonio Valencia, who was in position on the right wing.
Valencia wasted no time. With a single touch, he whipped a dangerous cross into Chelsea's penalty area.
The ball soared over Chelsea's defenders and landed perfectly on Anthony Martial's head.
"Martial's in position!"
"A perfectly timed cross from Valencia!"
Martial leaped high, outjumping Gary Cahill, who was desperately trying to interfere.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, Cahill misjudged the trajectory of the ball, leaving Martial free to strike.
With a powerful header, Martial directed the ball toward the goal.
"Martial takes the shot with a header!"
In that moment, the crowd held their breath.
Would Martial's header find the back of the net?
