Forbidden Cravings Chapter 156

The black cab hummed along the highway, the tires rolling against the asphalt as we headed toward Wonderland, the new amusement park in the city. The morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow across the leather seats and catching the faint shimmer of Aeri’s lip gloss.

She sat beside me, her legs crossed, her outfit stealing my breath every time I glanced her way—a tight white t-shirt that tightly hugged her curves, her full boobs pressing against the fabric, paired with a black mini skirt that showed off her smooth, creamy thighs. A sleek black jacket added a touch of elegance, and her white knee-high boots gave her a playful yet stunning vibe. Her dark hair fell in loose waves over her shoulders, and she looked so effortlessly beautiful that my heart kept doing little flips.

"Did you lock the door properly?" Aeri asked, her voice firm but curious, her eyes narrowing slightly as she turned to me, one eyebrow raised.

I felt a flush creep up my neck, my cheeks warming under her gaze. "Um... yeah, I did," I said, rubbing the back of my neck, my voice a little shaky. "Double-checked it and everything."

She nodded, her lips curving into a satisfied smile. "Good," she said, leaning back in her seat, her hands resting in her lap. "Wouldn’t want anyone breaking in while we’re out having fun." Her smile widened, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "This is gonna be so awesome, Ezra. Rides, games, maybe some cotton candy—I’m so ready."

"Yeah..." I said, my voice trailing off as I turned to look out the window, the city blurring past in a mix of concrete and green.

My mind was racing, and I couldn’t help the thoughts spilling over. *How am I supposed to stay cool when you’re sitting there looking so damn hot? That tight t-shirt, your boobs all puffed up, that mini skirt showing off your thighs... and that black jacket making you look like you walked out of a magazine. Even the cab driver was staring at you in the rearview mirror until I shot him a glare to make him stop.* I bit my lip, trying to keep my focus on the passing trees, but my heart was pounding.

I thought back to earlier that morning, when we were getting ready. Aeri had peeked into my room, leaning against the doorframe, her hair still damp from the shower.

"What’re you wearing today?" she’d asked, her voice casual but curious. I’d told her about my black shirt, white inner t-shirt, black pants, and white sneakers, and she’d grinned, disappearing to her room. When she came out dressed to match me—white and black, like we were a set—it made my chest feel warm, like we were connected in some small, perfect way. It was so wholesome.

Aeri’s voice snapped me back to the present. "What’s with you?" she asked, her tone teasing as she leaned closer, her shoulder brushing mine. "You’re all quiet and blushy. Don’t tell me you’re nervous already?"

I sighed, turning to face her, my cheeks still warm. "I’m not shy, and I’m definitely not nervous," I said, trying to sound confident, but my voice came out a little too defensive. I looked back out the window, hoping she wouldn’t push it.

She laughed, the sound bright and playful, filling the cab. "Oh, come on, Ezra," she said, nudging my arm with her elbow. "You’re totally blushing. What’s going on in that head of yours? Scared of the roller coasters or something?"

I rolled my eyes, but a grin tugged at my lips. "I’m not scared of anything," I said, turning to her, my voice softer now. "Just... you’re making it hard to focus, that’s all."

Her brows furrowed, but her smile didn’t fade. "What’s that supposed to mean?" she asked, tilting her

"Aeri..." I said, my voice low, my eyes meeting hers. "You look damn beautiful today."

Her face froze for a second, her lips parting as a soft pink flush spread across her cheeks. She reached up, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Oh..." she said, her eyes flicking away before meeting mine again. "Thank you, Ezra."

The black cab slowed to a stop, the hum of the engine fading as we pulled up to the towering gates of Wonderland Amusement Park. The grand archway loomed ahead, the word "Wonderland" spelled out in bold, colorful letters, sparkling under the bright midday sun.

In the distance, the Ferris wheel spun lazily against the clear blue sky, its bright cabins glinting, while the twisting tracks of the Scream Machine and other roller coasters snaked through the air, their loops and drops promising thrills. The parking lot buzzed with life—cars rolling in, families piling out, kids tugging at their parents’ hands, and the faint roar of rides mixing with laughter and music drifting from inside.

Aeri and I stepped out of the cab, the warm breeze catching her hair as she stood frozen, her eyes wide like a kid seeing a candy store for the first time.

"Whaaaaaa... it’s so huge," she said, her voice bubbling with excitement as she spun in a slow circle, taking it all in. Her tight white t-shirt and black mini skirt made her stand out in the crowd, her white boots gleaming, and her childlike awe made my heart skip.

I paid the cab driver, slipping him a few bills with a quick nod, and walked over to her, my hands shoved in my pockets to keep from fidgeting. "Looks pretty cool, right?" I asked, my voice casual.

"Cool? Ezra, it’s amazing!" Aeri said, turning to me, her smile so wide it lit up her whole face. "Come on, let’s go inside already!" She grabbed my arm, tugging me toward the entrance, her energy infectious.

"Alright, alright, slow down," I laughed, letting her pull me along as we joined the line for tickets.

We reached the booth, and I handed over cash for two tickets, the attendant sliding them across with a bored smile. "Enjoy Wonderland," he mumbled.

As we stepped inside, the park opened up before us, dazzling colors and sound. Tall, leafy trees lined the pathways, their shade offering a cool respite from the sun. Cozy coffee shops with striped awnings dotted the edges, their chalkboard signs advertising iced lattes and pastries. Rides spun and soared in every direction—the carousel’s cheerful music blending with the roar of a roller coaster, the splash of a water ride sending up sprays that caught the light. Pop music pulsed faintly in the background, mixing with the chatter and laughter of the crowd. A soft breeze carried the scent of popcorn and funnel cakes, and the whole place felt alive, like stepping into a dream.

"Heaven," Aeri said, her voice flat but her eyes wide, drinking in every detail as she stopped in the middle of the path, hands on her hips.

I chuckled, standing beside her, my hands still in my pockets as I took it all in. "Ehe, yeah, pretty much," I said, a soft smile tugging at my lips.
