In December, it started snowing in S City.
On the airplane, Xia Ning saw snowflakes flutter outside of the window and felt an impulse to reach out to hold them.
In her childhood in S City, they also lived in a villa. Every time when it snowed, snowflakes would accumulate to form a thick layer on the grass outside the villa. She always rushed out to play with the snow secretly. Then her mother would catch her and reprimand her.
“Ke, throw away the snow quickly. Otherwise, you’ll catch a cold!”
“Mom, I want to play with the snow. Dad said it did not matter.”
“Don’t listen to your father. He only knows scripts and shooting.”
Then her father would come and pretend to be angry. “My wife, I heard you saying bad things about me. Ke, let’s go and make a snowman, lest your mother says I can only make movies.”
“Su Yi, how can you be naughty like the child…” Her mother was so angry that she glared at her father.
Her father turned to take her mother’s hand and smiled, “My wife, don’t get jealous. If I take Ke to play, I’ll certainly take you too. We three can go play together.”
At last, her father could always quench her mother’s anger easily.
If her father did not leave at that time, they must be the happiest family in this world.
Xia Ning closed her eyes slightly. After her mother died, her father followed, for he had said that he would never leave her mother behind.
Now that she was left alone in this world, did she fear death? No way!
“Dear passengers, our plane will soon land…” The air hostess’s voice served as a reminder.
Xia Ning closed her eyes slightly. She feared nothing. As long as she was somewhere near heaven, her parents could see her.
After alighting from the airplane, Xia Ning walked out of the airport with the flow of people and went to the underground carpark.
Maybe due to the snow, there were not many cars in the underground carpark.
Xia Ning looked around, took out her cell phone directly and was about to make a call.
A car horn blared. Xia Ning turned to look at it. It was Jin Yan’s car. She smiled and walked towards it.
“Have you been waiting for long?” Xia Ning reached the car, opened the door, and sat in the back seat.
Jin Yan gave her a heat pack he had long prepared and a thermos bottle at the same time.
“It’s cold today. Have some ginger-Coke to get rid of the cold.”
Xia Ning took the thermos bottle and opened it. A strong smell of ginger instantly filled the car.
“Jin Yan, how much ginger did you put in it?” Xia Ning’s lips quivered.
“I only put one piece of ginger in it. Drink it fast. Otherwise, you may catch a cold.” Jin Yan gazed at Xia Ning.
Xia Ning had to give it a blow and take a little sip. It was very sweet!
Seeing her drink it, Jin Yan was satisfied. “Then will you go back to your home, or go to my place?”
“Go back to my home. Tomorrow, I will go to the company.” Xia Ning answered.
Jin Yan nodded, “Then I can go and have a look at your new house.”
“Good, very good.”
“Was everything all right with your performance this time?”
Xia Ning nodded, “All right. The crew will also finish soon. But I came back after completing my part.” Then she asked, “Have you found investors?”
“I don’t have to look for investors any longer!” Saying so, Jin Yan started the car.
Xia Ning gazed at him in confusion. “Why?”
“I might as well manage my own work.” Jin Yan smiled and said, “In addition, you are the female lead this time.” Sure enough, he had to be the male lead from the beginning to the end.
“Are you afraid that investors will refuse to work with me?” Xia Ning misunderstood Jin Yan. “Well, let’s each cover half of the costs, lest people question my role as the female lead.”
“As long as I take charge, the female lead can only be you!” Jin Yan smiled and said, “Is it because you think highly of my movie and want to invest in it to make profits?”

“I’m not mean. The profits of the movie will all be yours.” Jin Yan said, smiling.
Xia Ning nodded in satisfaction, “That’s fine.” She opened the bottle and took another sip of the ginger-Coke. It was so sweet!
