The screams around them almost made Xia Ning’s ears explode. If it were not for the security guards, the female fans would have rushed over to let Jin Yan pat their heads.
Feeling that her hair was messed up by his sudden touch, Xia Ning glared at him. “Jin Yan, can you not touch my hair so casually? I just washed it this morning.” Also, isn’t he afraid of the media making up stories?
Jin Yan darted a look at Xia Ning and blinked at her. He said in a voice that only she could hear, “I know what you are thinking. But if we are too unfamiliar with each other all of a sudden, others will think we are guilty.” As he spoke, he looked at the fans around him and nodded. “Thank you for coming today. We are going to shoot the MV now. The sunlight is strong. Everybody should go back.” As he spoke, he held Xia Ning’s hand and walked into the restaurant.
“Wow, Music King Jin is so gentle.” A girl held her face and watched Jin Yan’s back with an intoxicated look.
“I’m so jealous of Xia Ning! If only I were her.”
“Music King Jin and Xia Ning have such a good relationship. If only I had such a brother.”
“How did you know that Music King Jin and Xia Ning are siblings? Maybe they are…”
“Music King Jin denied it online yesterday and he’s still so close to Xia Ning today. They’re definitely not a couple. Otherwise, wouldn’t he be slapping his own face?”
“That’s true. But I’m a bit disappointed. I think Music King Jin and Xia Ning are a good match.”
There was a lot of noise outside. When Xia Ning and Jin Yan entered the restaurant, they closed the door and could not hear anything.
Xia Ning darted a look at the fans outside who had not left yet and said to Jin Yan, “As expected of a king. These fans are even more enthusiastic than most people. People who don’t know better might think something big happened here. There are so many onlookers.”
Jin Yan shook his head helplessly. “I feel like you are mocking me.”
“I wouldn’t dare!” Xia Ning shrugged and walked forward. “But let’s start now. I haven’t had breakfast.”
Jin Yan looked at Xia Ning’s back and some emotion flashed across his eyes. He walked up and said, “How dare you talk about this? Didn’t I tell you to come earlier yesterday? You’re still so late.”
“When did you say that?” Xia Ning looked at Jin Yan with confusion.
Jin Yan felt a bit helpless. “Seems like President Qiao didn’t tell you.”
“Huh?”
“I called you yesterday, but you fell asleep. President Qiao picked up. I thought he would wake you up early, but it seems like he forgot.” Jin Yan sighed and looked at Xia Ning with an ambiguous look. “Looks like you have a good relationship with President Qiao lately. I was worried he might misunderstand you.”
Being stared at by Jin Yan like this, Xia Ning felt a bit awkward. She pretended to cough and changed the topic. “Can I eat first before filming? I’m hungry!”
“Sure, I’ve already prepared it for you.” Jin Yan chuckled and looked at his watch. “Plus, it’s time for lunch.”
Xia Ning found a seat and sat down. Soon, someone served her lemon water and a menu.
Xia Ning looked at Jin Yan. “We’re eating straightaway like this? It won’t be good to let the others wait.”
“It’s okay. The staff should eat as well.” Jin Yan opened the menu. “I’ve asked the kitchen to prepare a few dishes. I’ll see what else I can add…”
Xia Ning looked at the man across her. She rarely appreciated anyone, but Jin Yan was one of them. He had a good character, a good personality, good singing skills, excellent acting skills, and even good cooking skills. He was perfect. But he seemed to have chosen an imperfect woman.
She thought for a moment and asked the question she had thought of before. “Jin Yan, are there any problems between you and Li Man?”
