Sun Xuehui stared at the phone in her hand, stunned. Who could it be? She had personally arranged everything yesterday, and it was she who had drugged An Ran, with a doubled dose no less. That girl wouldn’t have had the strength to resist. Did someone switch her out halfway through?
There was no time to think. That was a two-million-dollar deal.
Sun Xuehui hurriedly dialed An Ran’s number.
Mu Xingfeng was organizing the documents in his hand when An Ran’s phone on the bedside table rang. He glanced at the sleeping girl and saw the caller ID display "Mom." Mu Xingfeng picked up the phone and answered it.
As soon as the call connected, Sun Xuehui’s lion-like roar came through: "An Ran, is this how you repay kindness? I asked you to accompany President Liu for just one night. How did you do it? Do you know that company’s two-million-dollar deal is now ruined? Are you trying to push the An Family to a dead end?"
Mu Xingfeng’s face gradually darkened as he listened to the voice on the phone. Two million and they sold his girl? Is this how she’s been living with the An Family?

"Daughter?" Mu Xingfeng let out a derisive laugh. "20 minutes, at the teahouse in front of the First People’s Hospital. I’ll tell you everything."
Without waiting for Sun Xuehui to respond, he hung up.
Sun Xuehui stared at the disconnected phone, utterly dumbfounded. Where did things go wrong?
When An Sijia came out of the bedroom, she saw her mother looking like she’d lost her soul.
"Jiajia, it seems An Ran didn’t accompany President Liu yesterday." This was the only thing Sun Xuehui was now certain of.
"How could that be?" An Sijia’s voice rose in disbelief. After everything that happened yesterday, did she really manage to escape?
"Mom, was there a mistake? We arranged everything ourselves. Could it be President Liu didn’t care for An Ran?" That couldn’t be; President Liu was notorious for his lecherous behavior. With An Ran’s looks, it didn’t make sense.
An Sijia couldn’t understand, but her heart was filled with hate. Ever since An Ran and Ye Sheng got together, she had wanted to crush her. Later, seeing her get close to Young Master Lu drove her mad with jealousy. She couldn’t stand seeing An Ran do well. She was the rightful eldest daughter of the An Family, so how could this adopted girl always outshine her?
Sun Xuehui shook her head at An Sijia’s words, then abruptly stood up. "Let’s go to the hotel."
She had to see what had really happened.
Sun Xuehui and An Sijia arrived at the hotel and checked with the front desk. The guest in room 808 had checked out last night, just an hour after she had checked in.
President Liu had never entered that room. An Ran had been taken away by another man. As for who that man was, the front desk couldn’t say.
What a joke. The manager had already issued a gag order. How could they dare to speak out?
