"Drink it then, it’s not poison," An Ran said fiercely, not sure if she was saying it to herself or to Mu Xingfeng.
After saying that, she picked up the medicine bowl and drank it down in one gulp, her whole face twisted, frowning and sticking out her tongue.
"Is it really that bad?" Mu Xingfeng looked at the girl’s expression and couldn’t help but ask.
An Ran took the clear water that Nanny Chen handed over and rinsed her mouth before she recovered, her big eyes became wet, and she pouted her bright red lips and said, "Where did you find this Doctor Yuan? Does he have a grudge against me? This medicine is even more bitter than yellow lotus."
"Is it really that bitter?" Mu Xingfeng looked at the empty medicine bowl, seemingly in disbelief, "More bitter than Espresso?"
Nanny Chen wisely took the medicine bowl and retreated, leaving An Ran with nowhere to escape under Mu Xingfeng’s intense gaze, so she picked up a book and pretended to read.
Mu Xingfeng casually picked up the book on her table and flipped through it, seemingly unintentionally asking, "Which major will you pursue in the future?"
An Ran was a bit taken aback by his quick change of topic, pausing slightly, and looked at the book in his hand, saying, "Well, that one, clinical medicine, I will major in internal medicine."
"Why internal medicine? Is surgery not good?" Mu Xingfeng asked without thinking.
"Surgery?" An Ran shook her head, "Never thought about it. My grandmother passed away from a heart attack, and since then I’ve wanted to study internal medicine, never considered other departments."
As An Ran spoke, a fleeting sadness flashed in her eyes.
Mu Xingfeng looked down at the little woman in front of the desk, wanting to persuade her to change her major but not saying it out loud.
They were only nominally boyfriend and girlfriend right now, what right did he have to make her change her preferred department?
Though he really wanted her to switch to surgery, so after graduation, he could use his connections to transfer her directly to the army, and they could be together every day.
But saying such things now would just scare her, right?
"I’ll go to the company in a bit, you do your homework well, and I’ll be back for lunch."
Mu Xingfeng put down the book and reminded her, then naturally bent down and kissed her forehead.
An Ran’s body stiffened suddenly, Instructor Mu’s acts were increasingly catching her off guard.
Watching Mu Xingfeng leave the villa with Liu Hu and drive away, An Ran turned her gaze back, touched her forehead where his cool lips had left a feeling, and felt a faint sense of melancholy.

"No need, Nanny Chen, I’m not hungry," An Ran said, as she glanced around the kitchen. The villa’s servants were all men, including the chef, who was currently preparing lunch ingredients while Nanny Chen was making soup for her.
An Ran casually picked up an eggplant, tossing it in her hand, and said to the chef, "You’re on leave today, I’ll cook lunch."
The chef, a middle-aged man, looked at Nanny Chen in surprise, clearly skeptical that the delicate girl in front of him would be cooking.
