She looked at the little one but didn’t immediately react.
Kangkang grew anxious, tugging at her hand and exclaimed loudly, "Mom, Dad has run away from home! Let’s hurry and find him!"
An Ruo couldn’t help but laugh, "Your dad is a grown man, he’ll be fine."
"Don’t worry, he’s alright."
"Mom, you took care of Uncle Mo, so Dad got mad. When he comes back, please coax him," Kangkang said.
"Yeah, Dad is easy to coax. If you coax him, he’ll stop being mad," the little guy earnestly told her.
An Ruo’s scalp tingled at the thought of coaxing Tang Yuchen—it felt so strange.
"Mom, please just coax Dad," Kangkang insisted, shaking her arm relentlessly. An Ruo had to nod, "Okay, I know, don’t worry, your dad won’t be mad tomorrow."
Only with her agreement did the little one contentedly go play on his own.
Naturally, An Ruo wasn’t going to coax Tang Yuchen; she also knew he wouldn’t stay angry for long. She had annoyed him on multiple occasions, and this wasn’t much by comparison.
It was very late, and Tang Yuchen still hadn’t come back.
Kangkang insisted on waiting for him to return before going to sleep, so An Ruo told him that Dad probably went back to the villa and wouldn’t come back tonight, and that he would come to pick him up tomorrow. With An Ruo’s persuasion, he agreed to go to bed.
After making sure the child was asleep, she went to rest as well.
She normally locked the door when she went to sleep at night but didn’t this evening, sensing that Tang Yuchen might still return.
Just as she was drifting off into a drowsy sleep, she heard the sound of the bedroom door opening. She immediately woke up, recognizing from the footsteps that Tang Yuchen had returned.
The man quietly sat down on the bed, and An Ruo faced away from him, he unaware that she had opened her eyes.
She didn’t move, pretending to be asleep.
Tang Yuchen sat behind her for a while then carefully lay down, cuddling up behind her.
He tentatively wrapped his arms around her, and, seeing no sign of her waking up, he held her contentedly.
An Ruo’s fingers twitched slightly, but she didn’t resist.
The man’s face rested against her back, and through the thin fabric, she could feel the burning warmth of his skin.
An Ruo stayed still, and Tang Yuchen continued to embrace her without moving.
After a long while, he suddenly spoke up in resignation, "What am I supposed to do with you, woman?"
"First it was Yun Feiyang, now it’s Mo Hua, why are you so good to them?" he asked her softly.
An Ruo couldn’t help thinking that when she was with him, she was very good to him too, even better than she was to them.
Tang Yuchen continued, "However, when you’re good to me, you’re ten times better than you are to them. After all, from the beginning, the man you’ve loved has only been me."

An Ruo rolled her eyes silently, thinking to herself not to be so conceited, she didn’t love him anymore.
