An Ruo propped herself up, looking around in confusion, wondering why she found herself here.

An Ruo wanted to get out of bed and go check, but just then, the door opened. She looked up to see a man in a white shirt and a silver-black vest slowly entering the room.
An Ruo stared at his face in surprise, as she had never seen anyone wearing half a mask on their face.
"May I ask who you are?" she recollected herself and asked politely.
The man sat down beside her, curved his attractive thin lips, and smiled slightly, "You’ve awakened."
His voice was pleasant, and the half of his face not covered by the mask was as perfect as an angel’s.
She had never seen someone so handsome before.
"Was it you who saved me?" An Ruo asked again.
"Yes, you could say that," the man nodded, his eyes dark and bright, but he seemed very friendly towards her, which greatly reassured her.
"Thank you for saving me. Where is this place? Have you seen my friend? He jumped off the plane with me."
"The friend you’re talking about, is he a man named Mo Hua?" he asked her.
An Ruo nodded delightedly, "Yes, that’s him, have you seen him?"
"Yes, I’ve seen him."
"Where is he now?" An Ruo asked urgently.
Instead of answering, the man countered, "Don’t you want to know who I am?"
Well, her first question had been asking who he was, but he didn’t answer then.
Alright, she would ask again.
The man smiled, stood gracefully, and walked over to the window, pulling open the white floral lace curtains.
The window was not closed, and the wind blew in from outside, carrying the scent of the ocean.
An Ruo looked out to see the deep blue sky and heard the sound of waves crashing against the rocks.
"This is a small island," the man explained, his back turned to her.
An Ruo thought, had she fallen onto this small island after jumping out of the plane?
"This is a paradise I’ve sought for many years. Living here, it would be at least a decade before anyone finds us," he added.
"..." She couldn’t understand what he was talking about.
The man turned around, his bright eyes filled with a familiar expression as he looked at her.
"An Ruo, my real name is Xingtian. This is also my true appearance."
An Ruo’s face turned white, her eyes wide with disbelief.
His name was Xingtian!
"Yes, I am the Xingtian that Tang Yuchen so desperately wanted to kill," Xingtian discerned her thoughts and provided the answer.
"You... you didn’t die? Why did you bring me here... what are you going to do?" An Ruo clutched the blanket, warily watching him.
Was he going to hold her hostage against Tang Yuchen?
Suddenly, Xingtian said gently, "Don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you. I’m not dead, and there’s no one born yet who can claim my life."
"But, you obviously..."
"That was my body double," Xingtian stated indifferently, "I knew they wanted me dead, and I needed a reason to die."
"I was tired and wanted to retire, but as long as I lived, many people wouldn’t stop looking for me. So I faked my death, letting them think I had died."
An Ruo paused, then quickly grasped his meaning.
"They think you’re dead, so they won’t look for you anymore, and you can live worry-free."
"Exactly, that’s it."
