No one else discovered what they had done, and they immediately felt relieved.
Tang Yuchen held a stack of cash in his hand, amounting to tens of thousands. The eyes of the other men showed a greedy glint—not because they wanted the money but because another fat sheep had walked into their trap.
"You too, get in the car!" the leader of the three men commanded sharply.
Tang Yuchen smirked coldly, "A bunch of fools courting death!"
He gave them a chance, but they didn’t take it. They insisted on bringing about their own ruin, and there was nothing he could do about it.
Calmly putting the money away, he asked An Ji in a composed manner, "Can you handle this on your own? Need any help?"
An Ji stood straight with his back to him and smiled, "No need, I’m not drunk to the point of being useless."
The three men were shocked by their conversation when An Ji suddenly struck out, grabbing the wrist of the man holding a knife and twisting it forcefully. The sound of bones cracking echoed, and the man screamed in agony.
The other two were momentarily stunned, and before they could retaliate, An Ji felled them with a punch each, swiftly taking them down.
A few security guards from Ming Dian rushed over upon hearing the noise. Tang Yuchen instructed them, "Take them to the police station, charged with robbery and attempted murder."
The security guards, who all knew him, nodded quickly and went forward to escort the three struggling men away. They left soon after.
An Ji, slightly out of breath from his exertion, leaned against the car door, lowering his gaze and remaining silent in front of Tang Yuchen.
Tang Yuchen lit a cigarette and offered it to him, "Want one?"
An Ruo waved it off lightly, "My sister doesn’t like me smoking."
Tang Yuchen’s expression momentarily froze, and he clenched the cigarette pack, tossing it aside carelessly. From now on, he wouldn’t smoke anymore either.
"Let’s go, I’ll drive you back. You’re in no state to drive." he said to him.
An Ji suddenly raised his head to look at him, "Did you deliberately come to help me?"
Otherwise, why did he show up the moment someone tried to rob him?
