"Young master, you’re drunk." An Ruo calmly pointed out the fact that only when he’s drunk would he discuss such a trivial concern with a servant.
"I’m not drunk." Tang Yuchen retorted, though his denial seemed to prove otherwise.
An Ruo was certain he was indeed drunk. "Young master, you should go upstairs and rest. It’s getting late."
Tang Yuchen straightened up, pointing at the several bottles of alcohol on the coffee table, and said indifferently, "The wine isn’t finished yet. I’ll rest once I’m done drinking. You... go rest. I don’t need anyone to serve here."
Having said that, he walked back to the sofa, sat down, and continued pouring himself drinks.
There were still two bottles left, and if he finished them, he’d probably be dead drunk. An Ruo couldn’t possibly leave him alone here to drink.
She stepped forward and took his cup away, gently persuading him, "Young master, drinking too much is bad for your health. It’s better if you rest. Otherwise, I can have Uncle Tao take care of you."
Without a cup, the man simply held the bottle to his mouth, taking a large swig, squinting and saying, "No one has ever dared to tell me to drink less."
"You don’t need to persuade me. Unless I finish this wine, I can’t fall asleep."
An Ruo’s pupils contracted, her heart aching because of his words.
Why must he drink to fall asleep?
Tang Yuchen glanced at her, curled his lips, then lay on the sofa, taking long swigs from the bottle. He quickly finished one, tossed it aside, and reached for a second.
An Ruo snatched the bottle before him, "Young master, you can’t drink any more." ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢•𝕟𝕖𝕥
"Hand it over." He looked at her indifferently.
An Ruo shook her head stubbornly, "You really can’t drink any more. If you can’t sleep, I can... give you a massage. It’ll help you relax and fall asleep quickly."
She hoped he wouldn’t find her suggestion too forward or inappropriate.
"You know how to massage?" Tang Yuchen asked, puzzled.
Without much hesitation, the man nodded, "Alright, you can go ahead."
An Ruo was immediately put on the spot. Should she really give him a massage?
Tang Yuchen got up and headed straight upstairs, "Hurry up, follow me."
An Ruo stood in place, stunned for a moment, then reluctantly followed him to his bedroom.
She told herself it was just a massage, nothing more, and he hadn’t suspected anything, so she needed to stay calm and not panic.
After preparing herself mentally, she felt much more relaxed and her expression was more natural.
An Ruo thought he would immediately lie down for the massage, but he pointed to the sofa and said, "Sit for a bit, I’m going to shower."
An Ruo quickly locked eyes with him. His gaze was deep and unfathomable, and she couldn’t discern his thoughts.
Before she could react, Tang Yuchen had already entered the bathroom. An Ruo couldn’t help but smile wryly. Could she run away now?
In just a few minutes, Tang Yuchen emerged from the bathroom. He always showered quickly, but today seemed especially fast.
An Ruo looked at him as he walked out and stood up abruptly.
Please, couldn’t he at least put on some clothes before coming out?
Tang Yuchen had only a towel wrapped around his waist, revealing a strong upper body and long, muscular legs. His appearance was too casually enticing.
This wasn’t a swimming pool, nor a massage parlor; it was his bedroom. And this wasn’t daytime, it was night. She wasn’t his wife; she was his servant.
Did he not know how inappropriate it was to appear undressed?
Regardless of anything, they should have some mutual respect, right?
