"Do the devil armies often attack the city?" Amalia asked.
"They used to, but after the front lines moved back, attacks became less frequent. Now, it’s mostly sneak attacks. So, at night, be vigilant. Don’t sleep too deeply and avoid cultivating, as the aftermath of battles can be deadly. These things have happened before."
As Renshu Chang explained, he led them to find the city’s defenders.

A middle-aged cultivator emerged from a mud hut upon hearing someone was looking for him.
He recognized the familiar face.
"Uncle Cai," Renshu Chang greeted the middle-aged cultivator and then quickly turned his head to Kenny Lin, "Junior Master Uncle, this is Uncle Cai Jianjun, from Heaven Blade Peak."
Hearing Renshu Chang refer to a young cultivator as Junior Master Uncle, Cai Jianjun looked surprised.
What kind of Junior Master Uncle was this?
He had only been away for a short while.
"Uncle Cai, Junior Master Uncle is the new disciple of Master Lian," Renshu Chang explained quietly.
Cai Jianjun’s expression stiffened slightly.
He awkwardly clasped his hands in salute, "Jianjun greets Junior Master Uncle."
"No need for formalities," Kenny Lin said coldly.
Since arriving at the Devil’s Battlefield, he had reverted to his usual aloof demeanor.
For a moment, Cai Jianjun thought he was seeing Master Lian himself.
"Junior master uncle, do uou wanted to know the distribution of the devil bases?" Cai Jianjun’s expression turned surprised upon hearing their words.
Renshu Chang explained, "Junior Master Uncle and Junior Sister Amalia want to gain experience."
He didn’t mention Amalia’s agreement with Senior Tian senior to slay a thousand warrior level devils and ten leader level devils.
Before leaving, his master had instructed him to keep such matters confidential, so Renshu Chang refrained from disclosing further.
"Uncle Lin and Nephew Amalia are visiting the devil battlefield for the first time. It’s best not to venture too deep. The further you go, the more devils there are, they’re often gathered in large groups," cautioned Cai Jianjun.
Kenny Lin nodded his head calmly and asked, "So, Nephew Cai means the devils rarely fight alone?"
