Purple Summers couldn’t understand.

Nathaniel gripped the steering wheel tightly but didn’t lose his temper.

Purple Summers felt irritated as if no matter what she said, she couldn’t get to the heart of the matter.
The words she spoke, Nathaniel wouldn’t listen to, and the words Nathaniel spoke, she couldn’t understand.
