“It seems to be that name,” Alexander replied in an offhand manner, “dressed all in white like she’s attending a funeral.”
Purple Summers couldn’t help laughing and crying at his comment, “You really have a way with words. Although Ms. Nelson is a bit annoying, that gown of hers was actually quite pretty.”
Purple wasn’t the type to nitpick, and her assessments of others were relatively fair. She wouldn’t find someone annoying without a reason.
Alexander’s eyes narrowed dangerously, and he asked, “Did she bully you?”
“It’s not about bullying,” Purple gently shook her head, “we just don’t see eye to eye. I don’t like her.”
After her words lingered for a moment, Purple suddenly realized something and looked up to ask Alexander, “You mentioned Violet Nelson came to Clearwater for a marriage alliance with the Graves Family. Does that mean she will marry Young Master Graves?”
Although it wasn’t any of her business, Purple felt that Violet Nelson seemed, well, a bit… mismatched for Gavin Graves?
