The person Alexander Summers had arranged was waiting for her outside the gate of Summers Residence. Purple Summers got into the car and went to the hotel where Lindsay Carpenter was staying.
The journey was smooth, and they arrived at the destination before six o’clock.

They knocked on the door, but no one answered.
They continued to knock, and then they heard a woman’s cursing voice, “Who is it! So early in the morning, can’t you let people sleep?!”
The door creaked open, and there stood Lindsay Carpenter, bleary-eyed, outside the door, staring blankly at Purple Summers when she saw her, frozen in the doorway.
“You… how did you get here?” Lindsay Carpenter gaped, utterly unprepared for Purple Summers’ visit.
Purple Summers smiled gently and said, “Didn’t you want my help? I came to see what kind of trouble you had run into.”
After she finished speaking, she slowly walked in, leaning on her walking stick.
Lindsay Carpenter wanted to drive her out but was intimidated by the two men behind Purple Summers. She stood nervously against the wall, watching Purple Summers warily.
The odor in the room was unpleasant, with a strong scent of traditional medicine.
Purple Summers saw a simple electric stove and a small-handled milk pot on the table with traditional medicine residue left inside. It had already cooled off, likely leftovers from the previous night.
These days, not many people were willing to take traditional medicine.
“Are you sick? What illness?” Purple Summers also found several boxes of modern medicine on the table. The corresponding symptoms on the boxes were varied and the names hard to understand, making it difficult for Purple Summers to determine what illness Lindsay Carpenter had.

Purple Summers nodded in understanding, “So, you’re in need of money? How much did the person who sent you to me offer you?”
Lindsay Carpenter gave a sheepish smile and said, “Ms. Summers, you’ve misunderstood me. I really came to Clearwater for the lawsuit.”
The corners of Purple Summers’ lips curled up slightly, and she remained silent with a smile.
Lindsay Carpenter, fearful that Purple Summers wouldn’t believe her, continued to explain, “As you can see, my illness requires a lot of money to treat. As long as I win the lawsuit and get the compensation, we can split it fifty-fifty!”
“Don’t waste time. Just tell me, how much did the other party offer you?” Purple Summers said indifferently. “Aren’t you in need of money for treatment? I can offer double; consider it a good deed.”

“Really?” She was tempted but also skeptical.

Lindsay Carpenter asked, “She gave me thirty thousand. Can you really afford twice that amount?”
