Charlotte Bishop’s testimony not only failed to prove Lindsay Carpenter was raped, it actually confirmed the other side’s claim that Ms. Carpenter intended to commit extortion.
Marcel Jefferson’s complexion drastically changed, his expression suddenly became severe, and he emphasized again, “Miss Bishop, did Ms. Carpenter ever tell you that she was raped by Leon Brown?”

But Marcel Jefferson had nothing left to ask.
The witness had turned coat, and continuing the questioning would likely elicit even more damaging testimony against Ms. Carpenter.
At that moment, the opposing lawyer submitted a request, asking the court to summon a new witness.
“Your Honor, this witness will prove that Ms. Carpenter’s lawsuit against my client is entirely a conspiracy! A frame-up!” Mr. Johnson said with conviction.
The judge approved the new witness to testify.
As that person appeared, Lindsay Carpenter could no longer control her emotions and angrily stood up, shouting, “You’re framing me! How much did Leon Brown pay you to do this to me?!”
Sister Katherine, taking the stand, guiltily looked away, her lips painted a bright red and an embarrassed look on her face.
The judge struck the gavel hard.
Lindsay Carpenter, still unaware, bellowed with eyes red with fury, “She can’t testify! She’s a liar! A liar! She’s the one who tricked me into going!”
The female judge, impatiently said, “Mr. Jefferson, if you don’t calm your client down, I’m afraid I will have to ask the bailiff to escort her out!”
