In the following days, Violet Nelson didn’t instigate any further trouble.
It wasn’t that she had let go of the hatred in her heart, but she realized that she had underestimated the situation; dealing with Purple Summers would take more than a few provocative words.
Those few provocative words were not entirely ineffective, at least the elderly lady of the family had a distinct aversion to Purple Summers, and Old Master Simonson also harbored some dissatisfaction. However, to the extent of driving Purple Summers out of the Simonson Family, it was far from enough.
Violet Nelson felt she had been too impatient.
She should have waited, waited for the Simonson Family’s guilt and sentiment towards Purple Summers to dissipate, then her actions would surely be much more effective.
Purple Summers settled into the Simonson Household, having already told Atra Blanc that she would return to Clearwater City after the Simonson Family’s banquet was over.
Atra Blanc would occasionally call, and couldn’t help but complain when she brought up Alexander Summers, “He seems to have been gone for quite a while this time; he didn’t even give a call.”
Each time she heard this, Purple Summers’s expression would stiffen, thankfully on the phone one could only hear the voice, so she feigned nonchalance and laughed, “Maybe he has gone abroad for fun. It’s inconvenient to make calls, and it’s not the first time he’s done this.”

At her request, she preserved the “Summers” surname and her name changed from Purple Summers to Purple Summers Simonson.
Old Master Simonson showed her the new household registration document and said, “Violet has grown up in the Presidential Palace, spoiled in nature. You’ve suddenly moved in, and she doesn’t understand you, subconsciously feeling that you’ve usurped her belongings. So, don’t take her attitude to heart. As time goes by, she’ll surely come around.”
This was hoping that the two of them could get along peacefully.
Purple Summers was silent for a moment before replying, “It’s not that I’ve taken her things, but rather the Simonson Family hasn’t given her what she truly desires. The greater her resentment towards me, the greater it is towards the Simonson Family. I can promise not to cause trouble proactively, but if she provokes me, I will not tolerate it.”
Upon hearing this, the old man let out a low sigh.
It had to be said, Purple Summers had a very clear understanding of people and situations; Violet Nelson’s resentment towards Purple Summers ultimately stemmed from her expectations of the Simonson Family.
Old Master Simonson had hoped that Purple Summers would step back, but her firm stance disappointed him somewhat, while at the same time he felt a slight relief, as if the people of the Simonson Family should inherently be : unafraid of any schemes or tricks and disdaining false compromise.
Old Master Simonson asked Purple Summers, “What is the deal with you and the newly appointed family head of the Howard Family?”
Purple Summers thought for a moment and said softly, “I don’t want to talk about that matter for now, I hope you can understand.”
Old Master Simonson, upon hearing her reply, nodded slightly and did not press further.
Roy Howard was already dead, and delving into this matter didn’t seem to have much significance; fortunately, it appeared there weren’t many who knew of it, and if negative publicity emerged in the future, it should not be too difficult to manage.
At that moment, Purple Summers asked him, “Could you assign a few bodyguards to me? Once my identity becomes public, there might be some issues with going out.”
Old Master Simonson hesitated, then nodded in agreement, “Of course…”
The daughter of a president traveling alone would be a joke. Even Violet Nelson had a driver, assistant, and bodyguards when she went out. Purple Summers, carrying the blood of the Simonson Family, should not be neglected either.
The old master arranged for her to have six bodyguards and a driver; with Purple Summers herself, it would be an impressive entourage of eight people when they went out—the size of the group was fitting of her status.
