Su Muyu had entered the Knowledge Ancient Tree space, while Lu Heng and another person followed Seren to his treehouse.
Inside the treehouse, Seren filled two wooden cups with dew and set them in front of them.
"The dew collected this morning. If you need, you can have a little."
"Thank you," Lu Heng said his thanks, picked up the cup, and tasted a bit.
The dew was very fresh, and one could even smell the verdant scent of leaves.
Although he had information about this world, it was supplied by the Creator Organization and wasn't complete, so Lu Heng needed to ascertain some information first.
"Elder of the forest, may I address you as such?" Lu Heng began the conversation.
"I'm merely a forester," Seren answered in a mild tone.
Because of their longevity, the Elf Clan always seemed to act in a measured and calm manner.
"Who is the ruler of the Elf Kingdom now?" Lu Heng steered the conversation toward the main topic.
"It should be Queen Orelana, a very intelligent young lady," Seren made this evaluation.
However, from his tone, Lu Heng sensed that this appraisal might have a very long history.
He guessed that the meaning was, perhaps hundreds of years ago, Queen Orelana was a very bright young girl.
In fact, Lu Heng had heard of Queen Orelana's name, and the reason he asked the question was to determine which period in his memory the summoned timeline corresponded to.
Lu Heng pondered and continued to inquire: "Is there a Great Arcanist in the Elf Royal City now?"
Seren nodded and replied, "Of course, the Great Arcanist Augustus, who is one of the greatest arcanists of our Quel'dorei."
Hearing the name of Great Arcanist Augustus, Lu Heng confirmed one thing, this time point was indeed from an earlier period in memory.
In his memory, he had heard that this Great Arcanist Augustus sacrificed himself to protect the Elf Clan.
Lu Heng thought, the third challenge task was to investigate the crisis facing the Elf Clan, could this crisis be the death of Great Arcanist Augustus?
After all, Augustus was Quel'dorei's only remaining Great Arcanist, and his death would be a heavy blow to the Elf Clan.

Lu Heng turned to point at a large tree in the forest and asked, "I noticed a layer of black on the trunk, can this forest still hold off the invasion of the Abyss?"
Mentioning this, Seren's expression grew somber, "It is becoming increasingly difficult."
Lu Heng felt his graveness and knew that the Quel'dorei Elves were indeed facing a tremendous crisis.
This Elf civilization had stood against the Abyss invasion for seven hundred years, yet ultimately they still hadn't found a way to defeat the Abyss.
This continent was being consumed by the Abyss, little by little.
The day will come when this forest too will fall, and the world will plunge into the Abyss like a collapsing mountain.
Lu Heng continued to inquire, "Elder of the forest, are you aware of being summoned?"
Seren lightly closed his eyes and answered, "Of course, Elves were also summoned once."
Like Humans, the Quel'dorei Elves had also been summoned to other worlds in attempts to save other civilizations.
Due to the Elf's long lifespan, seven hundred years later, there are still Elders who have lived through the previous Abyss Era, so the Elf Civilization's knowledge has hardly been lost.
This was also the reason why the Quel'dorei Elves were able to maintain their kingdom.
This was unlike the Black Iron Dwarfs and the Bansel people, who after many migrations, had already lost much of their civilization's knowledge.
Lu Heng asked many questions and intended to continue.
However, after answering the previous question, Seren began to ask one of his own: "Your world has also been invaded by the Abyss, hasn't it?"
Lu Heng nodded, "Yes, the Abyss Descent has been upon us for a year now."
Seren nodded and said, "As expected. I can't discern what type of civilization yours is; it appears to be a mix of many powers."
Lu Heng explained, "We should be a technology civilization. Before the Abyss Descent, we had no magic, no Source Energy, no supernatural powers at all."
Seren smiled and said, "To be accurate, magic is also a natural force."
Lu Heng understood his point, this was merely a difference in context and perception.
In the mindset of Humans, any power outside of technology was considered supernatural.
However, in the Magic World, magic is equivalent to technology, a natural force.
Lu Heng did not offer an extensive explanation, merely asked with a smile, "Can I ask this question now? Why did you let my companion go to meet the Knowledge Ancient Tree?"
Seren fell silent for a moment, clearly withholding something.
Lu Heng frowned, feeling something amiss, and pressed, "Nine of us were summoned over, why only let her meet the Knowledge Ancient Tree?"
In fact, Lu Heng had been thinking about the reason the whole time.
If it was for gender reasons, that didn't hold up, as Black Field's team included a blonde woman.
Why pick Su Muyu alone?
Initially, Lu Heng was a bit worried, but after thinking it over thoroughly, he felt that there shouldn't be any danger, to begin with.
Firstly, it was permitted by Seren.
Meaning, if there were any danger to Su Muyu, then it would only be because Seren was problematic.
Yet, upon being transported here, they arrived directly in the Moonshadow Forest and appeared inside the treehouse.
If Seren indeed had ulterior motives, he could have acted at the moment of their arrival.
