Lu Heng and his companions had just arrived at Xilai Bay Resort and received another message, this time with just a room number: 802.
As they entered the hotel lobby, there was some commotion, with the receptionist speaking to the manager, apparently about to call the police.
Lu Heng didn't approach the reception, but headed straight for the elevator to the eighth floor.
Upon reaching the eighth floor, he saw the exterior of room 802.
Chen Linian and Gao Zhitin were positioned on either side of the wall near the door, and then Gao Zhitin stretched out his hand to knock.
There was no response from inside; the room was eerily quiet.
Lu Heng glanced at Su Muyu, who, understanding, released a scouting hawk to observe the room's interior from the opposite window.
Gao Zhitin reached out to knock a second time.
Su Muyu suddenly shouted a warning, "Be careful, he has a gun!"
No sooner had she spoken.
A gunshot rang out, blasting a large hole through the door.
Gao Zhitin had dodged just in time but was still visibly shaken; he looked down at his abdomen, and upon seeing no bullet wound, he exhaled deeply.
Sitichai held a double-barreled shotgun and yelled out the door in Siam, unintelligible to them.
Now that they had located him, the rest was simple.
Lu Heng charged forward, drew the Aurora Blade, and chopped the door open to rush into the room.
Sitichai loaded his shotgun aiming to fire again.
But Lu Heng was too fast; he flashed his hand up, pushing the gun barrel upward.
The shotgun fired into the ceiling, blasting a large hole in the suspended ceiling.
Taking advantage of the situation, Sitichai dropped his shotgun and, exploding with Source Energy, swung a punch.
The two exchanged blows for two or three rounds until Lu Heng knocked him down with a whirlwind sweeping leg, pinning him under the point of the Aurora Blade.
The gap in Combat Power was too vast, and the victory was decided in an instant.
The reason it lasted a few more exchanges was because Lu Heng did not want to expose too much in front of Chen Linian, using no Skills but only basic Fighting to subdue Sitichai.
Chen Linian and his disciple followed into the room, pointing their guns at Sitichai.
Realizing he was outnumbered and outgunned, Sitichai knew further resistance would be suicidal.
Moreover, he recognized Lu Heng.
He knew Lu Heng's capabilities, so he understood that Lu Heng's not killing him immediately was already sparing him.
