From Ignored to Adored: The Heiress Melts the Self-Restrained Boss Chapter 67

Silas Everett was silent for a moment, then said, "I hope you will always be happy. I have something else to do, so I’ll leave first. Goodbye, Miss Lynch."

Vivian politely said, "Goodbye, Mr. Everett."

Watching Silas Everett’s departing figure, Vivian felt a sudden, inexplicable emotion surge in her heart.

She didn’t know why Silas Everett was so interested in her affairs with Caden Hawthorne.

However, she didn’t think too much about it. After all, the most important thing for her now was to take good care of herself and the baby in her belly. Thɪs chapter is updatᴇd by novel·fire.net

Vivian walked out of the hospital and saw that Uncle Hughes, the butler, was already waiting at the door.

"Young Madam, was the checkup smooth?"

"The doctor said the baby is very healthy." Vivian touched her belly, a happy smile appearing on her face.

Upon hearing this, Simon Hughes also smiled, "That’s good, Young Madam. Let’s get in the car!"

After that, the butler opened the car door for Vivian to get in, reminding her to be careful.

Once Vivian got in the car, it slowly started and headed in the direction of Hartswell Manor.

She leaned against the seat, her thoughts involuntarily drifting towards Caden Hawthorne.

What is he doing now? Is work very tiring?

Vivian picked up her phone, originally wanting to call Caden Hawthorne, but worried about disturbing his work.

Instead, Vivian put down her phone, thinking that she would share the baby’s condition with him when he returned.

When Caden Hawthorne finished with his work, Bryan Coleman pushed the door open, walked into the office, and said softly, "President Hawthorne, Miss York is here, waiting for you downstairs."

Upon hearing this, Caden Hawthorne frowned slightly, a trace of impatience on his face. "Why is she here again? Tell her I don’t have time to see her and ask her not to come again."

Bryan Coleman nodded, "Okay, President Hawthorne. I’ll go tell Miss York right away."

Bryan Coleman turned and left the office, heading downstairs, where Yvonne York was still waiting.

Yvonne York, not seeing Caden but instead his assistant Bryan Coleman, quickly asked, "Assistant Coleman, how is it? Is Caden done with his work?"

He approached and politely said, "Miss York, President Hawthorne is very busy right now and doesn’t have time to see you. He asked me to tell you not to come again."

Yvonne’s face turned somewhat pale, she bit her lip, and said unwillingly, "I just want to see him and say a few words. Why won’t he even give me this chance?"

Bryan Coleman said helplessly, "Miss York, President Hawthorne is married now, and Young Madam is already expecting a baby. They are very happy now. I hope you won’t bother him anymore, it’s not good for anyone."

Faced with Bryan Coleman’s persuasion, Yvonne’s hands clenched, and her face turned pale.

Is it because Vivian Lynch is pregnant with Caden’s child that he decided to marry her?

Yvonne was full of unwillingness, why wasn’t it her? Why was it that girl from the slums? What makes her better than me?

Yvonne’s eyes gradually reddened, she held back her tears, her voice trembling slightly, "Assistant Coleman, I just want to make things clear with Caden, I won’t trouble him. As long as he sees me once, I promise not to bother him again."

Bryan Coleman looked at Yvonne in such a state, feeling a bit pity, but he knew Caden Hawthorne’s decision was firm. "Miss York, President Hawthorne’s decision will not change. You should go back and not waste your time anymore."

"Okay, I understand."

Yvonne was silent for a moment, and finally turned and left.

Her steps were somewhat heavy, her heart filled with loss and pain.

If Caden cares so much about this child, perhaps Yara York was right. If the child were gone, would he still be with her?

Thinking of this, a flash of anger crossed Yvonne’s eyes.

Caden Hawthorne is hers, and she absolutely cannot allow anyone to take him away from her.

As night fell, the bustling city was brightly lit, with a constant stream of vehicles flowing through the streets.

Caden Hawthorne returned home after work, the family was sitting at the dining table, waiting for him to return for dinner.

"Caden, you’re back!"

Seeing Caden return, Vivian was the first to stand up and walked towards him with a smile.

"Vivian, take it slow." Mrs. Hawthorne looked anxious, reminding her to be careful and not to fall.

Caden quickly went forward to support Vivian, his eyes full of concern. "Be careful, you’re heavy now, don’t move around recklessly."

Vivian smiled gently. "I’m fine, I’m just happy to see you back home."

The family sat around the dining table, beginning to enjoy their dinner. Caden served Vivian food while asking about her day.

"How was the prenatal check-up today? Is the baby doing well?"

Vivian nodded. "The doctor said the baby is very healthy and developing well."

Caden showed a relieved smile. "That’s great. You’ve worked hard, Vivian."

Vivian gently held Caden’s hand. "It’s not hard, as long as the baby is healthy, it’s all worth it."

At this time, Mrs. Hawthorne looked at their loving appearance and also smiled. "You two really make people envious. Once the baby is born, our home will be even more lively."

"Yes, sis-in-law is having twins this time," Riley said excitedly, "When the time comes, if big brother can’t handle it alone, I can help take care of the babies for you."

"You’re still just a kid yourself! Leave caring for the children to us and don’t meddle," Mrs. Hawthorne teased.

Riley pouted in disagreement. "Mom, how am I a kid? I’m all grown up and can help my brother and sister-in-law. Besides, I really love kids."

Mrs. Hawthorne laughed and shook her head. "You, wait until you really grow up. For now, just focus on working well and stop thinking about playing all the time."

Vivian, seeing Riley’s adorable appearance, smiled and said, "Riley, we appreciate your good intentions. But taking care of children is indeed hard work. When you have your own family and kids in the future, you’ll understand the difficulty."

Riley thought about it and nodded. "Okay, then I’ll work hard first, and help you take care of the kids when I have the capability."

Caden looked at Vivian indulgently, then said to Riley, "Your sister-in-law is right. Your current task is to work hard and improve yourself. As for taking care of the kids, Vivian and I can handle it."

He absolutely didn’t want anyone else raising his children, not even his sister; he wanted to personally nurture his children.

"By the way, how did your interviews go this year?" Caden suddenly remembered something and couldn’t help but ask.

Instantly, everyone’s gaze fell on Riley.

Riley’s expression immediately became a bit awkward, "Well, um... not bad..."
