From Ignored to Adored: The Heiress Melts the Self-Restrained Boss Chapter 85

After returning to Hartswell Manor, Mrs. Hawthorne personally prepared a table full of delicious dishes to celebrate Vivian Lynch’s safe discharge from the hospital.

Vivian, with her belly prominent, got out of the car with Caden Hawthorne carefully supporting her.

Mrs. Hawthorne and Riley Hawthorne quickly approached with smiles on their faces and said, "Vivian, welcome back!"

Vivian smiled and nodded.

"Sister-in-law, you’re finally out of the hospital. You have no idea..."

Soon, Mrs. Hawthorne and Riley surrounded Vivian with inquiries about her well-being, directly pushing Caden to the side.

"Vivian, today mom made your favorite dishes to celebrate your safe discharge."

Riley chimed in, "Exactly, mom has been busy since morning. Even I, her own daughter, don’t get such treatment."

Vivian was touched, "Thank you, mom."

"Come on, my dear, let’s quickly go inside!" saying this, Mrs. Hawthorne and Riley each held one of Vivian’s hands and walked her toward the villa.

Clearly, Caden was being ignored, and they left him standing there alone.

"Hey, have you guys forgotten about me?"

Caden stood there, watching the three most important women in his life, as if they had completely disregarded him, the man.

"Who are you? Go away." Mrs. Hawthorne shot him a glance and turned to Vivian, "My dear, this silly boy didn’t protect you properly, let’s ignore him."

Upon hearing this, Vivian looked back at Caden with a hint of embarrassment, "Mom, actually..."

Just as Vivian was about to speak for Caden, Riley immediately interrupted, "Exactly, sister-in-law, you almost had a miscarriage this time, my brother’s responsible too."

Saying this, Riley and Mrs. Hawthorne pulled Vivian into the villa.

Watching this scene, Caden shook his head helplessly, feeling that his position in the family was becoming less than Vivian’s.

He even began to wonder who truly belonged to the Hawthorne family.

However, seeing his mother and sister so fond of Vivian, he was reassured.

Thinking of this, he smiled helplessly and quickly followed them inside.

The family walked into the villa and arrived at the dining room. The table was filled with sumptuous dishes, their aroma wafting through the air. Mrs. Hawthorne pulled Vivian to sit down and kept serving food to her.

"Vivian, eat more. You’re pregnant now and need to nourish yourself," Mrs. Hawthorne said lovingly.

Riley, not to be outdone, also served food to Vivian. "Sister-in-law, this is also delicious, try it."

Vivian looked at her bowl filled with food, her heart warmed. "Thank you, mom, thank you, Riley. You should eat too." Check latest chapters at NoveI~Fire.net

Caden watched this scene, feeling a bit envious of being ignored, but mostly he felt gratified.

He joined in and served food to Vivian as well, "Try this, mom’s braised pork is very tasty."

Vivian smiled and nodded, looking at everyone with happiness, "Everyone eat, today is a happy day."

"Exactly, to celebrate sister-in-law’s discharge, everyone, eat up," Riley said with a broad smile, busily adding more food to Vivian’s bowl.

The family enjoyed this warm dinner amid laughter and chatter. Mrs. Hawthorne looked at Vivian with eyes full of affection.

"Vivian, you must take good care of yourself. We’re all looking forward to the baby being born safe and sound," Mrs. Hawthorne said.

Vivian lightly nodded, "Mom, I will."

Caden held Vivian’s hand, his gaze full of tenderness and determination. "With me here, Vivian and the baby will be just fine."

Riley teased with a smile, "Brother, you better step up and take good care of sister-in-law and the future little nephew or niece."

Caden raised a slight smile, "Of course."

"Caden, have you thought of a name for the child? Are the baby items ready?"

Faced with Mrs. Hawthorne’s question, Caden awkwardly scratched his head, "Mom, isn’t it still early for Vivian to give birth? No rush..."

"Right, mom, there are still three or four months left! No need to hurry," Vivian added in agreement.

"How can we not be in a hurry? Vivian, you’re carrying a Hawthorne family child, everything must be the best for them."

Mrs. Hawthorne furrowed her brows, "No way, tomorrow I’m off to prepare new clothes for my grandchildren."

Riley got excited too, "Mom, I’m coming along. I want to pick the cutest clothes for the little nephew or niece."

Vivian chuckled, "Mom, Riley, there’s no need to rush."

But Mrs. Hawthorne waved her hand, "That won’t do, this is important. Caden, you shouldn’t be idle either, hurry up and think about the names for the baby."

Caden quickly nodded, "Alright, mom, I’ll think of them as soon as possible."

The family continued discussing the soon-to-be-born baby for quite a while, envisioning a beautiful future.

After dinner, Caden accompanied Vivian for a walk in the garden.

Under the moonlight, Caden held Vivian’s hand and asked gently, "Vivian, are you tired?"

Vivian shook her head, "Not tired."

"Let’s go sit on the swing up ahead and rest for a bit!"

Caden reached out, pointing at the white swing in the garden, large enough for three people, surrounded by flowers and plants.

Vivian looked pleasantly surprised, "When did this swing get here?"

She remembered she had never seen the swing in the Hawthorne house before.

Caden sat on the swing, holding Vivian’s hand, and replied with a smile, "While you were in the hospital. I thought, when our baby is born, you can sit on this swing, and I’ll push you both."

Upon hearing this, just imagining it felt incredibly romantic to Vivian.

Upon hearing Vivian express her gratitude, Caden frowned slightly, "We’re husband and wife, no need to thank me, it feels distant."

"Okay," Vivian helplessly smiled.

The next moment, Caden squatted down and pressed his face against her belly, "Let me listen to the baby’s heartbeat."

Upon hearing this, a smile appeared on Vivian’s face, and she softly asked, "Caden, do you prefer a boy or a girl for our baby?"

Caden gently stroked her belly, "Honestly, I love both, as long as they’re healthy."

Hearing this, Vivian nodded, "Yes, you’re right. No matter boy or girl, they’re our treasure."

"But, I’m hoping they are twins," Caden stood up, sat beside her, and gently swung the swing.

"Why?" Vivian looked at him puzzled.

Caden curved his lips, "Because having a boy and a girl makes the word ’good’" (from the Chinese characters).

"Makes sense." Upon hearing this, Vivian smiled softly and couldn’t help but touch her belly, speaking gently, "Babies, daddy and mommy hope you’re a pair of twins! This way, we’ll have both a son and a daughter, won’t we?"
