Caden Hawthorne shook his head, "By the time I arrived, the people who kidnapped you had already fled. He handed you over to me and then left with his men."
Vivian Lynch nodded thoughtfully, "Next time we meet this gentleman, we must thank him properly."
Caden nodded slightly, "Yes, we should thank him well. If he hadn’t saved you in time, I fear..."
He couldn’t bear to think further and hugged Vivian, holding her in his arms, afraid of losing her after this incident.
"Vivian, from now on, I won’t let anyone hurt you and our baby."
Hearing Caden’s words, Vivian smiled slightly and looked up at him, "Caden, with you by my side, I’m not afraid of anything."
In the hospital, Jessica Hart was still in the operating room, her injuries were very severe, and she remained unconscious.

Sean nodded, his eyes full of hope. "I hope she can pull through this and then speak out, taking responsibility for her own mistakes."
Time ticked by, and the surgery continued.
Just then, the doctor finally came out. Sean immediately rushed forward, nervously asking, "Doctor, how is she?"
The doctor removed his mask, his expression grave, "The bullet has been removed, but the patient’s condition is very critical. Although we’ve done our best, it’s still uncertain if she’ll wake up. It’s up to her willpower now."
Sean felt a sinking feeling inside.
Quickly, the unconscious Jessica, attached to machines, was wheeled out of the operating room.
He walked over quietly, guilt and remorse on his face, "It’s all my fault; I harmed her!"
Vivian, seeing Sean so remorseful, couldn’t help but say, "Those who do evil will meet their end, Sean. You can’t blame yourself entirely; Jessica made many mistakes herself, and now she’s paying for them."
Though Caden still didn’t look favorably upon Sean, he also agreed with Vivian. "If she can wake up and reveal the mastermind, it would be her way of redeeming herself."
Sean looked at the unconscious Jessica and made a silent determination to atone for his past mistakes, regardless of whether she wakes.
Jessica was moved to the intensive care unit, and Sean vigilantly stayed outside, not daring to leave even for a moment.
Caden and Vivian watched for a while and then left the hospital.
In the luxury car, Vivian felt somewhat uneasy, unable to stop herself from glancing at Caden and asking, "Caden, do you think Jessica will wake up?"

Caden and Vivian had just returned to the villa when a servant reported that the two young Misses of the York family had come, bringing many tonic supplements, and were waiting in the living room with Mrs. Hawthorne hosting them.
"What are they here for?" Caden frowned slightly.
Vivian was also puzzled, "Could they be here to visit with concern? After all, I was just discharged not long ago."
Caden snorted coldly, "Let’s go and see what they’re really up to."
The two entered the living room, and Yvonne and Ruby York immediately got up, smiling to meet them.
"Caden, Miss Lynch, we heard you just got back from the hospital, so we came specifically to check on you," Yvonne said.
Yara also chimed in, "Yes, we brought many supplements, hoping Miss Lynch can recover swiftly."
