Once Myles heard the signal of the arena referee, he immediately executed the first step and ignored the Shadowbind Knight, instantly passing him.
The Shadowbind Knight was surprised by Myles’ speed, as well as Myles’ presence thinning instantly.

The Shadowbind Knight frowned. He continued to disrupt Myles’ movements, saying, "I can ignore you and kill your master."
Myles grinned. "Go ahead, let’s see which of us is faster."
The Shadowbind Knight hesitated.
He estimated the distance and calculated the amount of time he would arrive compared to Myles’ speed.
He was confident he would arrive faster, unless Myles mastered the third step.
Even if Myles did, he also had tricks up on his sleeves.

Myles also increased his speed towards the incubus, but suddenly, the shadow on the arena floor became alive, seemingly suppressing him.
Myles frowned. He executed the third step, causing all the demonic energy filled with laws of blood to gather on his lower limbs, instantly breaking away the suppression of the shadows.
The Shadowbind Knight was surprised his third step was instantly broken, but it did not stop him from chasing towards the succubus.
After all, the momentary suppression to Myles gave him a massive advantage, instantly crossing two hundred meters.
However, he failed to recognize the speed that the third step of Crimson Phantom Steps brought to Myles.

The Shadowbind Knight was not aware, as his full concentration was on the succubus. The closer the distance he crossed, the higher his concentration in killing the succubus became.
Myles, on the other hand, shaped his hand into a knife as blood demonic energy began to form around it.
He watched as the incubus, whose face went pale, when he realized he was about to die.
At this point, he was unaware that the Guardian of Obsidian Descent was about to make a move, when the Guardian of Scarlet Bond suddenly arrived beside him, touching his shoulder.
The Guardian of Scarlet Bond said, "Are you trying to force your way through and save your Young Lord?"
The Guardian of Obsidian Descent replied, "Do you wish a war between the incubus and succubus house would break out?"
"Are you sure that will happen? We follow the same tyrannical ruler, you know?"
They were unable to continue their conversation as Myles finally arrived and pierced through the incubus’ abdomen.
The Guardian of Obsidian Descent trembled when he saw the Young Lord died. He would definitely instruct his senior student behind him to inform the Demon Lord.
He decided not to make a move when he noticed that the Blood Knight was grasping at the Young Lord’s demon core.
"What is he doing?"
"You shouldn’t focus there. The battle has not ended yet. He had to defend his master before officially ending the battle."
The Guardian of Obsidian Descent’s eyes widened.
Just earlier, they finalized the format and told the arena referee. They instructed him not to inform both sides.
Since Violet stated that the job of the knight was to protect their master, the battle would have to end two ways. First, either of the knights would have died and the winner could kill the helpless demon noble. Second, the knight could kill the demon noble first, but if the opposing knight was still alive and could kill the other demon noble, then the fight could go on until the opposing knight surrendered.
If both knights were aware of their purpose, there was no need to instruct them of the final alteration of the life and death battle format.
The Guardian of Obsidian Descent glanced at the Shadowbind Knight and realized he was only fifty meters closer to the succubus.
Even if Myles utilized the third step again to catch up, it would be near impossible to do so.
Furthermore, Myles seemed to be unaware as he was focused on grasping the demon core of the Young Lord, as he eventually crushed it, causing the Guardian of Obsidian Descent to be furious.
He said to the Guardian of Scarlet Bond, "If you knew both of our kin would die first before their knight, why did you hold me back from saving the Young Lord?"
The Guardian of Scarlet Bond snorted. "You said it, they are kids, they are impulsive, and I hate kids like that. Before they enter the Royal Academy, they should be matured first. Even though I don’t know what comes into my nephew’s head, as she usually doesn’t act immature, if they deserve to die out of their immaturity, then it’s better for them to die early."
The Guardian of Obsidian Descent was stunned.
He did not expect her to be vicious even by her own kin.
Nevertheless, he eagerly watched as the Shadowbind Knight was about to reach the succubus and swept his gaze to the Blood Knight, who he would kill with his own hands.
However, just as his gaze landed at the Blood Knight, the Blood Knight suddenly liquified himself and disappeared.
His eyes widened.
He hastily glanced at the Shadowbind Knight, whose punch was denied by Myles by grasping his wrist.
"Second Step?" The Guardian of Obsidian Descent was dumbstruck. "At such a distance?!"
