Mo Shaolin waited downstairs at Huo Siyu’s place until a thoroughly bundled up Huo Siyu and a nanny appeared.
Mo Shaolin ran over with a smile: "Huo Siyu, you’re finally back. Bobby has been missing you so much he’s almost sick with longing. Can Bobby stay with you for a couple of days?"
Huo Siyu didn’t turn around, her hands clutching her shawl, her voice weak and breathless: "Get lost!"
With the child gone, she had lost the only connection she had with Mo Shaolin.
Huo Siyu didn’t want to see Mo Shaolin or have anything to do with him anymore.
Mo Shaolin quickly walked to Huo Siyu, blocking her path.
"What happened? Are you hurt?"
Huo Siyu glared at Mo Shaolin with bloodshot eyes, her words icy cold: "Can’t you just go away? Can you stop appearing in front of me?"
Huo Siyu said to the nanny next to her: "Aunt Zhang, let’s go upstairs."
"Okay," Aunt Zhang said, carrying the items and following Huo Siyu forward.
Mo Shaolin stood still, watching Huo Siyu’s figure from behind, wanting to follow her, but the building door closed.
Last time there was no access control, why is there access control now?
Mo Shaolin could only leave.
He went to Li Yehan’s office to inquire about the matter.
Li Yehan looked at him puzzled: "Mo Shaolin, how would I know about Huo Siyu? You want to know, go ask her yourself!"
Mo Shaolin: "I saw her, but she didn’t tell me. She’s blocked me, plus there’s access control, I can’t get in."
Li Yehan raised his head and laughed: "What, you regret it?"
Mo Shaolin avoided his gaze, shifting his eyes: "Regret what? I just remember our encounters and care about her."
"Then you better stop caring about her. Your care probably feels more like harassment to Huo Siyu, don’t harass her."
Mo Shaolin stood up angrily: "Li Yehan, are we still friends? How does my caring turn into harassing her?"
"Weren’t you with Li Xia? So why go looking for her? Isn’t that just rubbing salt in the wound? Look how cheap you’re acting."
"Li Yehan, you really are callous to your friends when you have a girlfriend. Once you had Nan Qiao, friends became like clothes to you, right?"
"Mo Shaolin, I speak the truth without malice. What, I can’t even speak the truth now?"
Mo Shaolin didn’t want to talk to Li Yehan anymore; the guy knew how to be infuriating.
"I can’t be bothered to talk to you, Li Yehan, you really are callous to your friends."
Mo Shaolin got up and left.
The day’s classes were few, so Nan Qiao left the school.
While walking, Nan Qiao received a call from Zheng Qinnian.
"Qiaoqiao, the investigation results are out, Jiang Linyu hasn’t had any laser surgery behind her ears."
Nan Qiao stopped walking: "Really?"
"I had someone check again, and indeed she hasn’t. Unless Jiang Linyu knew you were coming and used some medicine beforehand to change the results."
Nan Qiao said, "That’s impossible, I hypnotized that doctor."

Lv Cancan helplessly said: "Qingqing, Qiaoqiao isn’t that type of person. I already said we’d take a cab, why do you insist on asking."
"I’m just asking to save you some money, aren’t I?"
Lv Cancan helplessly shook her head, Dong Qingqing’s face full of displeasure, utterly despising Nan Qiao.
Nan Qiao didn’t know about these issues; she took a cab to the residential area where Huo Siyu lived.
Upon arrival, Nan Qiao was stopped by Mo Shaolin, which gave her a fright.

Mo Shaolin smiled ingratiatingly: "What happened to Huo Siyu?"

Nan Qiao walked quickly into the building while Mo Shaolin stood outside, his face full of helplessness.
He just wanted to find out what had happened to Huo Siyu.
Nan Qiao entered Huo Siyu’s home, the nanny was cooking in the kitchen, and the house was neatly arranged, the nanny found by Li Yehan was indeed reliable.
Entering the room, Nan Qiao saw Huo Siyu leaning against the head of the bed looking out the window, her face indifferent, as if her soul had left her body.
"Si Yu?" Nan Qiao called out softly.
Huo Siyu came back to her senses, saw Nan Qiao, and showed a bitter smile.
"Qiaoqiao, you’re here."
"Si Yu, don’t think too much, one must look forward."
"Qiaoqiao, I’m fine. You don’t need to visit me every day. With Aunt Zhang here, I’m well taken care of. I’ll transfer you the money for hiring Aunt Zhang."
"Si Yu, there’s no need to be so formal with me. Besides, I’m also at fault. If I hadn’t asked you to participate in the auction, you wouldn’t have ended up getting shot and losing your memory. I’m responsible as well."
"Qiaoqiao, you don’t have to blame yourself. I failed to complete the task, I was inefficient. Running into Mo Shaolin was just my bad luck, can’t blame anyone else."
Nan Qiao felt guilty and upset, holding Huo Siyu’s hand, unable to speak.

Huo Siyu looked at Nan Qiao, showing a long-lost smile, her voice conveying comfort and confidence: "Qiaoqiao, it’s me, I’m back."
