Li Yehan said nothing. Talking about marriage was his sore spot.
Qiaoqiao refused to get married, and Bai Jingrui was hindering them behind the scenes.

Just then, one of the kidnappers’ phones rang. Answering the call, he said, "I’ve caught Yu Meng’s man. Tell her if she doesn’t want this young man dead, she’d better come quickly."
"Okay, big bro, I’ll go contact Yu Meng right now. After all these years, we’ve finally caught her! It hasn’t been easy!"
Li Yehan looked puzzled. Yu Meng?
He’d never heard that name before!

The group cracked lewd jokes while occasionally sizing Li Yehan up.

As the car sped down the highway, Li Yehan spoke calmly. "Look at my phone’s lock screen—tell me if that Yu Meng you’re talking about is her?"
Not particularly busy, the kidnapper toyed with Li Yehan’s phone.

Nan Qiao pedaled her bike when her phone rang. She pulled over and took her phone out.

Nan Qiao answered, but a stranger’s face appeared on the screen.
"Yu Meng, long time no see."
Nan Qiao was stunned. "Da Heiniu, it’s you!"
The man on the other side was indeed dark-skinned, burly, and earned the nickname Da Heiniu.
Da Heiniu flew into a rage. "Your man is with us. If you don’t want him dead, hurry up and come. Go to the abandoned villa complex in the Western Suburbs. We’ll be waiting for you there. If you dare call the cops, we’ll kill him!"
Nan Qiao replied, "Show me first that you actually kidnapped my man."
Da Heiniu aimed the camera at Li Yehan’s handsome face. Nan Qiao awkwardly forced a slight smile. "Don’t be scared, okay? I’m coming to save you."
