Jiang Linyu was furious and wanted to slap Li Ye upon hearing of his latest failure.
Li Xia stood to one side, scoffing, "Li Ye, weren’t you so capable and confident? How did you lose again?"
"Shut up!" Li Ye shouted angrily.
Li Xia sat quietly on the side, unfazed as if nothing happened.
"Because of your failure, the online warriors have even more to say. Now, our family of three is being personally attacked by them. Li Ye, can you say this mess isn’t your fault?"
Jiang Linyu sat lifelessly on a chair, utterly exhausted.
"That bastard Li Tianhong! He declared online that he wants a divorce from me and even splashes filth on me! Now the whole world knows I forced the death of his original wife and climbed to the top as the mistress!"
Li Ye spoke solemnly, "This situation can’t be blamed on me. Once Li Tianhong learned the truth, he couldn’t wait to drive us out. How could he allow me to stay?"
The three remained silent.
Jiang Linyu said, "There’s an opportunity right in front of us to save ourselves. If we can capture that experiment target called Nan Shan, we can make up for our wrongs."
Li Ye asked confusedly, "Mom, how can you be sure Nan Shan is the one we detained?"

At this moment, Lv Cancan came up to Dong Qingqing and whispered, "You betrayed Qiaoqiao, she won’t forgive you. Dong Qingqing, think carefully about how to get Qiaoqiao to forgive you, or else you’ll surely drop out!"
Dong Qingqing thought of Nan Qiao’s wealthy boyfriend and realized getting expelled wouldn’t be a problem with just a word from him.
Dong Qingqing glared at Lv Cancan, "You’re such a jinx!"
"I’m not a jinx; I’m merely stating the facts. You betrayed our dorm and colluded with Li Xia. Now that Li Xia doesn’t dare come to school, you certainly aren’t having an easy time either."
Dong Qingqing stormed off in anger but couldn’t help but think of how to salvage the situation.
Nan Qiao brought a newly painted landscape to Old Mr. Li, accompanied by Li Yehan.
Old Mr. Li got excited and changed into a newly tailored suit upon learning Nan Qiao was coming.
"Ah Fu, how does this suit look on me? Do I appear healthy?"
"Good, very good. Sir, you look great in anything."
"That won’t do. I have to wear what makes me look the healthiest, so Ye Han and Qiaoqiao know I’m robust. They’re going to have kids now, and I definitely want to help them with the children."
Uncle Fu chuckled, "Sir, you certainly know how to advocate for grandchildren."

As they were talking, Li Yehan and Nan Qiao walked in together.
Li Yehan held the painting, with Nan Qiao by his side. They walked shoulder to shoulder, with Li Yehan occasionally bowing his head to listen to Nan Qiao speak.
The sight of the two together brought a happy smile to Old Mr. Li’s face.
"Ah Fu, look at them — aren’t Ye Han and Qiaoqiao a perfect match? They truly are a pair made in heaven."
Uncle Fu laughed, "Sir, you’ve taken the words right out of my mouth."
Old Mr. Li walked happily towards them.
"Qiaoqiao, you’ve finally come. I heard you were coming, so I had the cook prepare snacks, desserts, and drinks in advance. I heard from Ye Han that you like Chinese food; our Chinese chef is busy in the kitchen now."
Nan Qiao was flattered and replied honestly, "Thank you, Grandpa Li, you didn’t have to go through all this trouble. I might not stay for dinner."
Old Mr. Li said, "Qiaoqiao, now that you’re here, how can you not eat at home? Qiaoqiao, I have something really important to discuss with you."

Li Yehan pulled Nan Qiao up, "It’s all your favorite food."
Nan Qiao followed them to sit down. The maid brought over the dishes and placed them in front of Nan Qiao for convenience.
The exquisite lotus pastries and rose pastries made one’s mouth water at the sight.
Various drinks were also available for Nan Qiao to choose from.
"Qiaoqiao, give it a try and see if you like it."
Nan Qiao picked up a pastry with her right hand and held a small plate in her left, afraid the crumbs would fall on her.
Li Yehan helped her hold the plate so she could taste it properly.
Nan Qiao took a bite and praised, "Not bad, it’s really delicious."

Seeing their good relationship, Old Mr. Li felt reassured.
"Qiaoqiao, don’t worry about living with Ye Han after marriage. How about this, I’ll have Ye Han marry into your family and live with you."
Li Yehan was earnest, "Qiaoqiao, I agree, and I’m willing."
Nan Qiao covered her forehead, speaking softly, "Li Yehan, are you a marriage fanatic?"
So eager to marry, yet still single until now.
"Grandpa Li, I’m not planning on getting married just yet; I want to wait a couple more years."
Nan Qiao’s decision left Old Mr. Li unable to maintain his smile.
Old Mr. Li gave Li Yehan a stare, "Ye Han, have you been bullying Qiaoqiao? This girl is kind-hearted and wouldn’t easily voice her grievances. If you dare bully Qiaoqiao, forget about acknowledging me as your grandpa!"
