As of now, they didn’t know whether or not Jian Shuhong and He Yan were involved in the matter. Furthermore, they still were not sure about what Jian Yubo was thinking.
And thus, the business deal that they came to see Master Liang about today was incredibly important for the Jian family.
If the business deal worked out, it would potentially ease the crisis that the family was facing.
However, the Jian family was unsure of how Master Liang would respond.
Master Liang was quite well-known in the industry. It was difficult for ordinary businesses and people to be accepted by him.
And thus, it was not easy for the Jian family to negotiate a business deal with him.
Jian Shuxing knew that Master Liang had gifted a valuable diamond to his daughter in the past. However, Jian Shuxing did not plan to use his daughter’s personal connections to achieve what he wanted. If he did that, that would be incredibly despicable of him.
He Yan smiled and asked Wen Nuan: “Sister-in-law, why didn’t you bring Yiling along?”
He Yan’s eyes were shining. She hadn’t forgotten that day at the charity party when Master Liang had purchased a pink diamond and given it to Jian Yiling.
Wen Nuan replied: “Today, we’re here for business.”
They weren’t here to socialize. Why would she bring her daughter?
“But Yiling seems to have a good relationship with Master Liang. If she’s here, maybe this deal can be negotiated much better.”
“Sister-in-law, the Jian family does not require our children to keep the business going,” Wen Nuan replied with a straight face.
Wen Nuan’s tone was not as nice as He Yan’s. Her face was stern and her tone was serious.
Realizing that his wife had said the wrong thing, Jian Shuxing hurriedly apologized on the behalf of his wife: “Sister-in-law, we’re sorry. He Yan didn’t think about her words before she said them. Yiling’s matters have nothing to do with our family’s business.”
In the past, if Jian Shuhong had said such a thing, Wen Nuan wouldn’t have said something back.
