Then Zhai Yunsheng found a seat in the laboratory and sat down in a casual manner.
As soon as Zhai Yunsheng sat down, he stood out from everyone else in the laboratory.
It was as though he was looking down at them with arrogance and contempt. Such a feeling made everyone else around him feel incredibly uncomfortable.
One or two students in the laboratory recognized him. They knew that he was an alumnus of their university.
However, most students like Lu Yuan studied their undergraduate courses at another university. As a result, they assumed Zhai Yunsheng was merely a rich kid who considered everyone else as mere ants.
Professor Huang took out two reports. One was a report that Lu Yuan had submitted to Professor Huang a few days before. The other one was the report that Jian Yiling had just submitted.
Professor Huang asked the chancellor of Beijing University and the other professors to judge the two papers in front of them.
The professors quickly came to their conclusion when they compared the two papers:
“Although the text has been altered and the plagiarism has been hidden well, anyone with knowledge in our field can see that this has been basically copied.”
Several other professors nodded their head in agreement:
“It is indeed obvious that research results have been stolen and copied. Such behavior is not okay. Our university and the academic world will not tolerate the existence of such students. Students should not have a corrupt character like this.”
“I never expected such a thing to happen in our university.”
“This matter needs to be dealt with seriously. Even though Jian Yiling came to our university as an exchange student, as long as this thing happened here, then our university has the right to deal with it.”

Several professors expressed their opinions.
Their expressions were rather disappointed. Then, the eyes that they looked at Jian Yiling with became extraordinarily unfriendly.
For those who were engaged with research, stealing someone else’s results was a great crime! It was not something to be forgiven.
And thus, the professors came to a conclusion that one of the reports had indeed been plagiarised.
The other students in the laboratory looked at Jian Yiling with disgust.
She looked so cute and innocent… However, the things that she did were… Disgusting!
It would be best for her to be expelled! They didn’t need such a person in their laboratory.
Then, Professor Huang said to the chancellor of their university: “Chancellor, we must give her a notice of criticism as well! We must deal with this matter seriously. We can’t let such a person remain in the academic world.”
The chancellor of the university was an old man. He had a grave expression on his face.
He was incredibly disappointed with Jian Yiling.
Zhai Yunsheng had been listening to their conversation for quite some time. After everyone finished expressing their opinions, he asked a question in an unhurried manner:
“Well, only one person between the two of them is involved with theft and plagiarism, right? But shouldn’t you have evidence before you conclude who stole the work? Shouldn’t Lu Yuan also be suspected of plagiarism? Where is the evidence that’s helping you draw this conclusion in the first place?”
Zhai Yunsheng glanced sideways. His biting cold gaze fell on Lu Yuan who had been lowering her head.
Like the other students, she merely stood quietly on the side. She hadn’t said a single word until now.
However, Zhai Yunsheng had suddenly mentioned her name.
Professor Huang found Zhai Yunsheng’s words incredibly funny: “Haven’t you looked at the date of submission? Lu Yuan submitted her paper the day before yesterday whilst Jian Yiling’s paper was only submitted today!”
Zhai Yunsheng sneered: “Well, Professor Huang, I’m asking this student called Lu Yuan. Why are you so nervous? So if your favorite student must be right, then the problem must lie with someone else’s student then?”
