From Villain to Cherished: Counter My Role by Pampering Kids Chapter 73

Su Xingwan, a person so arrogant and opportunistic, eager for the whole world to know she’s living well, has kept quiet about her connection with Lu Yun all these years. This suggests that he had given her a heads-up beforehand—perhaps they even signed some kind of unequal agreement.

Isn’t that how it always goes in those CEO novels?

The canary raised by a powerful figure, the stand-in for the CEO’s long-lost White Moonlight.

Su Xingwan seems to be one of those types who can’t be seen in the light.

It’s just that Mr. Lu’s taste isn’t so great; he chose a woman with a pretty face but no substance. That’s a bit different from the CEOs described in novels.

"What? You’re just teasing me!" a friend said.

"Alright, alright, please bring your children here to change clothes!" A man appeared in the resting area, saying.

Soon after, the staff prepared all sorts of fitting winter clothes for the children.

Su Xingwan noticed that since she entered the room, Huang Yiliu had been staring at her, and also at her child.

In no time, the three little ones had put on their colorful and shiny down jackets and walked out.

The tufts of hair on their heads stood out adorably, and as they waddled like penguins, they amazed all the adults.

Su Xingwan couldn’t resist taking a few photos of them.

"Kids, come stand here!" the photographer uncle called out.

The two little ones had experience from a previous shoot, so they skillfully walked over, posing without the photographer’s guidance.

Little Su Yan, even more so, seemed born for this. Under the spotlight, his little face was cool, almost emotionless, yet it still gave off a cute vibe.

"Kids, take a few steps toward the uncle!"

The three little ones waddled adorably in their fluffy down jackets, endearing themselves to the photographer’s heart.

Then the three little ones changed into different outfits, each wearing a colorful sweater, and staff members tidied their hair into cute little buns.

"Round buns! Even cuter!"

After finishing their group shoot, they began taking shots in pairs and individually.

When it was Little Su Yan’s turn to walk the runway, he was wearing a bright black outfit, hands in pockets, his little face coldly gazing forward.

The two little ones in the audience were amazed by their dazzling big brother, letting out a "Wow."

Shouting, "Big brother, you’re so cool!"

The adults were also impressed by Little Su Yan.

This seemed like a born child star, a natural on the runway!

Su Xingwan thought: It looks like the big brother has found his arena.

Seeing the glowing, confident, yet cool Little Su Yan, so different from the gloomy boy locked away in the storeroom all day, Huang Yiliu was puzzled why she hadn’t noticed his extraordinary talent in this area before.

She felt a mix of surprise and envy, with a small hint of jealousy.

This child was supposed to be the one she’d adopted.

The person in charge saw Little Su Yan’s potential as a future model and specifically requested more outfit changes for him.

"Big brother! Cool, cool, cool!" The two little ones excitedly cheered from the audience, their faces flushed.

"Big brother! You’ve become as cool as a superhero!"

"Yes! Super cool superhero!"

Listening to their "superhero" talk, Su Xingwan face-palmed again.

After the three little ones finished shooting, the other children coming along clearly weren’t as impressive.

Some kids on the runway for the first time needed patient step-by-step guidance from the photographer and walked clumsily.

Even experienced kids couldn’t capture the spirit of the three little ones.

They were stiff, cold, lacking the innocence that children should have.

Even for cool Little Su Yan, his face showed childlike innocence, especially when looking at his younger siblings, he couldn’t help but smile.

Finally, it was time for Huang Yiliu’s child to walk the runway.

The little boy was a first-time model, facing so many lighting technicians, photographers, and watching uncles and aunties, his eyes showed a hint of fear.

"Can’t you stop being so timid?" Huang Yiliu was looking at him, frustrated with his lack of confidence compared to Little Su Yan.

"I... I understand. Mama..."

The little boy was older than the three little ones, appearing to be four or five but lacking their quick wit.

Huang Yiliu looked at this child, whom she had chosen particularly from the orphanage.

When adopted, the child was sweet-talking and obedient, which she and her husband found satisfactory.

But unexpectedly, although honest, he lacked any personality, too timid to even resist anything.

Especially now, with his fearful demeanor and unimpressive presence, she felt the urge to return him to the orphanage, particularly in comparison to Little Su Yan.

The photographer was patient with the child, gently guiding this timid, easily shy little boy.

Yet, under Huang Yiliu’s watch, the more she observed his awkward behavior, the more furious she became.

Finally losing patience, she stormed up to yank his ear: "Meng Zhi, why are you so foolish?! At least you’re four or five, yet still worse than a three-year-old!"

Meng Zhi winced in pain, his eyes quickly filling with tears.

"Crying! Always crying! Just a scolding and you cry, why are you so pathetic?!"

If it were Su Yan, he’d take ten scoldings without a hint of tears.

The adults there were all from the same circle, and everyone knew Huang Yiliu.

Though a public figure, both she and her husband hadn’t had any notable works in recent years and were less popular in the entertainment industry than before.

But even so, they still held a strong foundation, sometimes receiving quite a few jobs, maintaining a stable place in the industry.

Yet, watching her bully a child publicly now, people felt sympathy.

But this is her child, after all, therefore none had the authority to intervene.

Even those treating children as money-making pawns wouldn’t display such behavior openly.

Noticing Huang Yiliu’s odd behavior today, a friend hurriedly intervened, whispering, "Huang Yiliu, have you gone mad? Disciplining a child here? Address whatever wrong privately at home. Remember, you’re still a public figure; don’t make yourself a joke."

With such words, Huang Yiliu’s anger subsided a bit.

Little Su Yan coldly watched Huang Yiliu bullying a child again.

With shootings wrapped up, everyone began leaving.

The two little ones, exiting, looked at their brother: "Big brother, what’s wrong?"

"Huang Yiliu bullied a child again."

The two little ones: ???

"Is it that very fierce auntie from before?"

Little Su Yan nodded.

Su Xingwan: "Your big brother used to be a child at her home before."

The two little ones: !!!
