Gacha Leveling Chapter 7

Killing the big goblin gave Matthew a breathing opportunity, since the small goblins got scared to keep attacking him. However, he knew it wouldn’t last long, after all, those were Mana simulacrums of goblins and not real goblins.

Warrior? Warrior didn’t have any skills that could turn the tide of the battle. It was a tier 1 class, so it was not particularly strong... But Matthew didn’t have time to get upset. At least it was a combat class and one that he studied in and out.

He took the Imbue Mana skill, which used Mana to make objects stronger. His machete wouldn’t lose its sharpness nor break. Also it could do more damage by being charged with Mana. He also put all his 3 stat points on Strength.

He scanned the place for Faralynn and Erin. The elf was holding firm the front line while Erin gave her cover with her lightning spell. The other person was knocked out on the floor. He rushed there, shoving aside any goblin that tried to get in the way.

He jumped over a couple of goblins landing between Faralynn and the goblin line. Carrying the head of the big goblin in his left hand and his machete on the right. He started to hack and bash at the little green monsters standing shoulder by shoulder with Faralynn.

They held the line protecting themselves until the security team could turn the tide of the battle and advance forward the horde. As soon as it happened, the teacher charged forward to save his students and Matthew with his katana in hand. He cleaved the goblins with ease and expertise precision.

Only a room filled with Mana Crystals, a couple of bodies and the cries of the students were left. Matthew fell to the floor, still holding fast to his weapon and the head. Breathing heavily, trying to rest, but still in tension because of the fight.

He looked around. Erin was also sitting on the ground, as tired as him. The knocked down student, seemed fine, but wasn’t getting up. Faralynn, on the other hand, was bleeding. A knife found her way inside her breastplate and she was bleeding heavily.

Her skin was even paler than normal. Matthew jumped on his feet when he realized screaming for a healer. Erin soon realized what was going on and helped him take away her breastplate, took a potion from her bag and poured it over the wound. That was enough to close the would, but she could still be bleeding on the inside.

Erin got a second potion, but Faralynn couldn’t drink. It hurt too much to swallow.

Matthew took her on his arms, applied his Anesthesia skill on her and fed her the potion.

"We should hurry her to a hospital." He said to Erin.

Erin ran and told the teacher they needed to hurry to the hospital with Faralynn and the other student. He ushered them out, him carrying the student and Matthew carrying Faralynn.

An ambulance was always nearby dungeons and took both of them to the nearest hospital. Faralynn passed out as soon Matthew stopped using his skill on her. No other student was gravely injured.

Seeing the ambulance hurry away with Erin riding together with the other two. Matthew relaxed. And then he got dizzy. He was still channeling the Anesthesia skill on himself and his MP was almost over.

Lifting the skill made all the pain come at once. His protective vest was in ruins, he had scratches all over his body and giant bruises on him. The vest did save his life, he thought upon looking at the damage the big goblin did.

A special police unit that investigated dungeons came and started to interview the people on sight. While Matthew waited his turn, he thought how would he face his mom and sister. If he arrived like that at home, they would never allow him to continue being an adventurer.

But he didn’t regret it. He saved Erin and Faralynn. They wouldn’t have made it only the two of them. But now, he needed to get checked out. The only person he could count now was Vanessa.

Matthew called her and told her what happened. She was such a good person, he thought as she said she was coming straight away.

While he waited he looked at his system screen.
