"You can talk, but don’t touch me." Lu Xingzhi felt like she was constantly being flirted with.
"Zhi Zhi, you are my fiancée." Huo Jincheng leaned lazily against the wall, eyes full of mischief as he explained.
What kind of twisted logic is this?
Can such an explanation really work?
Lu Xingzhi said, "According to your logic, can I do whatever I want with you?"
"Others can’t, but you definitely can." Huo Jincheng twirled a strand of Lu Xingzhi’s hair around his finger. "But, what do you want to do with me?"
"That’s not what I meant." Lu Xingzhi bit her lip, not being naturally eloquent, she was at a loss for words.
"You smell so good. Didn’t you promise to let me use your shower gel? Why haven’t you given it to me?" Huo Jincheng placed his hand on Lu Xingzhi’s arm again.
She had just showered and was wearing pajamas, a spaghetti strap nightdress with a comfortable fabric.
Huo Jincheng thought her skin felt smoother than the fabric of the nightdress.
Her long hair, like seaweed, fell casually at her waist, giving off a lazy allure.
"I’ll go get it." Lu Xingzhi pushed the door open, but Huo Jincheng followed her inside.
"What are you doing in here?"
She went to the bathroom to retrieve her shower gel and handed it to Huo Jincheng, "Here you go, now go rest!"
Her room had only a small lamp on, the dim light adding an unexpected layer of intimacy.
Huo Jincheng didn’t reach for the shower gel, just looked at her with tender and affectionate eyes, almost drowning her.
Lu Xingzhi was so nervous under his direct gaze that she stammered, "Do... do you... want it?"

"Hmm?" Lu Xingzhi asked softly.
"Nothing, I was just complimenting your beauty." Huo Jincheng didn’t continue the topic, considering her young age.
He didn’t want to scare her, as it would backfire.

She didn’t say it aloud but instead replied, "Thank you."
A rather insincere thank you.
"We’re engaged, no need to be so polite." Huo Jincheng could sense Lu Xingzhi’s indifference but continued teasing her.
"It’s appropriate." Lu Xingzhi said with a tense, blushing face, and complimented Huo Jincheng, "You’re handsome too."
"Did you just find out today? Zhi Zhi, seems like your vision isn’t great usually. Your eyes are beautiful, make sure to use them to appreciate beauty." Huo Jincheng wasn’t normally narcissistic, but he found it amusing to see Lu Xingzhi’s change in expression.
Lu Xingzhi: "My... my vision is great."
"Then why did you only just discover how good-looking I am?" Huo Jincheng deliberately asked.
"I noticed long ago, just didn’t say it." Lu Xingzhi explained.
After explaining, she heard Huo Jincheng’s pleasant and hearty laughter echo through the room.
She realized she had been played by Huo Jincheng.
Her face was beet red, "Older men are indeed bad."
Huo Jincheng’s laughter stopped, he opened his mouth, unsure of what to say.
"I’m going to sleep, you take the shower gel and go back! It’s already late." Lu Xingzhi said, signaling for him to leave.
Huo Jincheng hugged her, "Indeed, it’s time to sleep. Should I say goodnight to you?"
"You already said it just now."
Huo Jincheng: "I can say it again."
