Lu Xingzhi leaned close to his ear and whispered, "I’m a mushroom."
A tingling sensation spread through Huo Jincheng’s body, and he hugged Lu Xingzhi a bit tighter.
She was so adorable; he wanted to laugh but held it back.
"I’m telling you because I think you’re good-looking, you can’t tell, okay!" Lu Xingzhi reiterated.
"Okay, I won’t tell."
Lu Xingzhi only then realized she was being hugged by Huo Jincheng, so she jumped to the ground and started walking out.
"Little mushroom, where are you going?" Huo Jincheng asked, his eyes and brows full of smiles, following Lu Xingzhi and grabbing her hand.
"Shh!" Lu Xingzhi covered his lips, "I told you not to tell anyone, and you said it so loudly."
"Okay, I’ll keep it down. Can you tell me where you’re going then?" Huo Jincheng lowered his voice.
Lu Xingzhi gave him a disdainful look, "Are you dumb? I’m a mushroom, of course, I need to be planted in the soil."
"There’s soil inside the room too, why not plant in the room!" Huo Jincheng’s smile widened greatly, his little girl was so cute when drunk.
Lu Xingzhi directly rejected him, "No way, I need to be planted outside to photosynthesize."

"Okay." That could be arranged.
"Then you can eat!" Lu Xingzhi closed her eyes, looking like she was ready to be at his mercy.
Huo Jincheng stared at Lu Xingzhi’s luscious red lips, his gaze growing more intense, considering this question.
She did look rather appetizing.
Just as he was about to make a decision, Zhuo Yixiang’s voice interrupted, "Sir, you’ve returned?"
Lu Xingzhi, thinking she was a mushroom, got scared upon hearing someone speak and quickly hid in Huo Jincheng’s arms.
Huo Jincheng cast a dark glance at Zhuo Yixiang, his gaze ice-cold and disdainful, feeling the butler was being nosy.
"Don’t be scared." He gently patted Lu Xingzhi’s shoulder, then picked her up in his arms.
He only put her down when they reached her room.
"Are you going to secretly eat me?"
Huo Jincheng looked at her, thinking she wasn’t just a little mushroom, but a magical mushroom pixie.
Her eyes were so pure and innocent, yet irresistibly alluring.
