"What is the weeping whip?"
Noah looked at the girl beside him and could not help but ask. Hearing his words, Ma Li was a little surprised that someone didn't know what it was…
"Weeping Whip is…." Ma Li started explaining about the whip while leading him through the hallway. The servants bowed wherever they passed through.
Noah's eyes gained clarity hearing the explanation about the whip.

After conversing with Noah for a while she found out he was an easy going person to talk to as long as you do not annoy him or act like a brat in front of him, it was exactly what she did before.
It was a change of pace for her to talk to him, it was like she found a friend to talk to freely without worrying about anything.

"Hey! Don't laugh!! let's go, we arrived at the place where our mothers are. The garden!" She rushed towards the corner of the hallway, Noah followed and they walked out of the gate that led to a detached area in the courtyard.
Noah's eyes landed on the beautiful fields of flowers, different kinds of flowers formed a symphony of colors harmonizing with each other as they danced with the waves of the wind blowing.
In the middle of the field two women sat together highlighting the beauty of the flowerbed. They were sitting on the patch of the grassland.
There was a harmonious atmosphere between the women, they were talking and chuckling with each other. Noah felt Shi Jie drawing her Spirit sense back as they entered this area.
"Let's go and join them." Ma Li nudged him before running towards her mother, seeing Xin Yan she became a little reserved and walked normally with grace. Noah shook his head and walked towards them as well.
"You came dear, did you have a good time together?' Shi Jie chuckled and asked with a teasing expression on her face. Hearing those words Ma Li blushed a little remembering how much she had embarrassed herself during this time.
While Noah, Xin Yan and Elysia rolled their eyes hearing her remark. They all knew that she had been keeping an eye on them for a long time.
"Did you have a good time?" seeing the slight smile on her face. Noah approached Xin Yan and sat beside her in a Japanese sitting posture. Even though the rest found his sitting posture a little weird they did not say anything.
"Mhmm~ I had a good time." Xin Yan looked back at him with a gentle smile. Seeing their interaction, mother and daughter felt something was off with the way they interacted but shrugged it off in the end.
"Why don't you visit here in your free time, Long Tian can come along." A sharp look flashed through Shi Jie's eyes as she commented.
Noah turned to look at Xin Yan, who was looking at him as if asking for his permission.
"If Lade Shi doesn't mind, you can visit here often in your free time. I will be busy with cultivating these for the next couple of months, so I will rarely have any time to go out," Noah declined the offer but he agreed with Xin Yan going there in her free time.
Hearing his reply, Ma Li's face lost its smiles as she looked a little sad. She wanted to spend more time with her friend. But hearing his words, a light of determination ignited in the depths of her heart.
She knew that she had to get stronger as soon as possible, after all she did not want to be a burden for him in the domain. She also wants to go into secluded cultivation as soon as possible and make a breakthrough.
"Shall we go back now?" Noah asked softly, if Xin Yan wanted to stay here he would not mind staying a little longer but they had already stayed there for hours.
"Yeah, let's go back! I got so engrossed in the talk that I failed to notice the passage of time." Xin Yan exclaimed with a little shocked expression, she really did not notice the passage of time in their conversation. It was dusk by the time Noah arrived along with Ma Li.
"What are you in so much hurry for? why not stay for the day at our home! you can go back in the morning." Shi Jie tried to persuade them to stay for the night but Xin Yan shook her head and declined her offer politely.
"Sister Shi, I will definitely visit you again next time but I am afraid I won't be able to stay the night."
Noah and Ma Li stayed quiet as the women started exchanging a few pleasantries. After some time, Noah and Xin Yan left the city lord's mansion.
Seeing their disappearing back in the distance the smile on Shi Jie's smile disappeared as she turned to look at her daughter.
"I didn't know my daughter has voyeurism habits."
"..." Ma Li paled, hearing her mother's words. Naturally Shi Jie heard everything they were talking about. She could not help but gulp her saliva in fear, she did not think her mother would have the habit of spying on others.
