"This is your domain."
My domain? What is that? I have never heard of this before.
This piqued my curiosity, she is still chained and it doesn't seem like she holds any ill intentions towards me, so let's just ask her more about this.
"What is a domain? And if this is my domain, why are you here?"
Hearing my question, she sighed and looked at me as if she was expecting something like this.
"Hmm, why should I tell you?"
"If you do, I will release you. I cannot trust you yet to release you from those chains. What if you are actually hiding your intentions and attack me after being free?"
Never trust anyone, that is something I have learned from my own mistakes.
"Sigh..." She then released a very disappointed sigh and looked at me lazily.
"If I had the intentions of hurting you, I could have done it without any effort."
She shook her head in disappointment and muttered something which I wasn't able to hear quite clearly.
"He hasn't changed at all."
She then looked at me again and said,
"Fine, I will tell you. I have been in this domain ever since. And you were the one who captured me here. Does that satisfy you?"
I captured her? When did I do that?
"I do not have any memory of you, nor do I know what this domain is and even if what you are saying is true that I captured you here, why would I do that?"
"You will remember that in future, once you get your memories back. Don't regret not believing in me in future."
She said with such confidence that it was hard for me to decide to belive her or not.
"Hmm, let's say i belive you, why should I release you from that chain? Yeah, i do not feel any danger from you, but that doesn't mean I can trust you."
"Your name in your previous world was Ravi, an average high scholar. Lived with your teacher after your house owner died. You lived alone before that after the death of your parents, suddenly one day you got transmigrated here in this world. You had no mana core so you were considered weak and suffered through a lot. Luckily, you encountered a rare opportunity inside a cave and got a artificial core in there which was actually a demonic core. After you got that core, you discovered that your core requires demonic energy not the mana and you can get that demonic energy from the dead source of people or other beings. Slowly rising in power you gained the title of demon king but one day you declared the war upon the whole world and was killed by the hero, who is now your mother."
She finished all this and looked at me as if asking how is that.
She gave me a short summary of my whole life. This confirms that she knows everything about me because I haven't told about my transmigration to anyone, even Setsuna.
"Dp you belive me now?"
She asked again.
I waited for a while. Even though, everything she has said is right... my brain refuses to trust her, but my heart says otherwise. I feel a strange but deep connection with this woman.
"I will release those chains, but before that answer my last question. Who are you?"
"Me?" She asked, then hummed as if pondering something.
"I am Zixane, once hailed as the goddess of love and beauty, the most beautiful woman in the entire heaven and hell, one of the oldest God and the wife of the most handsome and dumbest man in the world... I am your wife."
The emotions she held in those words... I could feel it quite clearly and the way she is looking at me as if knowing what I will do now... my heart feels full of mixed emotions. It pains to see her getting chained up. It wants me to move my feet towards her and free her from those shackles.
But how can I just accept someone that I do not know, to be my wife? It's simply ridiculous.
"I can see that you still do not accept me as your wife, but I am fine with it. You don't need to do that at all. Once you remember me, I will not have to prove anything."
Hmm, that's acceptable. If I really have a connection with her then she won't have to prove anything to me. But if not, then...
"Fine then. So what do I have to do to free you from that?"
"Just think for it, this is your domain and you have full control over it."
Just think of releasing her?
I closed my eyes to properly grasp what she meant, currently what I was standing on an empty space. I was simply floating, at least that's what it might seem to a normal, but I can feel there was something beneath my feet.
It was the surface of my domain. I can probably say this because it's mine, but I feel I can sense everything happening in here. I can control each and everything inside as if I am a God in here.
If my thought is what it takes for me to release her, then let's just do that.
I opened my eyes and i can see the chains that bound her slowly falling apart. They crumbled down and disappeared in thin air.
Zixane, arched her back and stretched her whole body. She was in that same position for who knows how long and now she was finally free.
"Finally, I can move. Argghh, that was frustrating."
She then turned towards me and a evil glint appeared in her eyes. Suddenly, a dense and thick spiritual pressure surrounded me.
This was the same feeling, that same sensation which I felt when I stepped on that stairs of ascension.
