Carrying me on her hand, Eleanor got down from the bed and walked out with Ayesha.
"When I went to the church to prepare for the ingredients for the purification liquid, I heard that the Holy mother has made another prophecy." Ayesha said, walking in front of Eleanor.
Eleanor frowned slightly with the mention of holy mother and prophecy.
Even I have heard about holy mother before I died. Though, I haven't seen her yet.
She was the one who prophesied that Setsuna will be the key in opening the path for ascension.
It's arguable to belive her prophecy. In a way, Setsuna did became a key factor in opeing the path for ascension, but if you look at it from other way, I was the one who opened the path.
So her prophecy isn't accurate, or maybe she cannot judge what will happen for certain, cause if she did, she would have told, the demon king will open the path for ascension.
But if she had said that, then maybe it wouldn't have worked like it did. So did she hide the whole truth knowingly? To not change anything that's about to happen?
Well, it does make me curious about her.
The church values her so highly that only the higher officials of the church have seen her and her protection is of great importance.
But maybe, Ayesha have met her before? And what is the new prophecy that she mentioned?
Eleanor also had the same question as me and more than me, she was worried about something more. So, she asked,
"What did she prophesied?"
"I have no idea of what that is yet. I only heard from others that she tried to look into the future again and fainted right after but before she went unconscious, she said something about a demon. The people inside the church are assuming that the demon king is going to return again."
All three of us entered inside a dark room covered with stone walls that were inscribed with high class runes. There was nothing in there beside many runic inscriptions.
It was probably the place where Eleanor used to practice before.
After entering inside, Ayesha closed the door and placed the pot in the middle of the room.
"And what do you think of that prophecy? Do you think demon king will return?" Eleanor asked her.
Ayesha was silent for a moment and after a few seconds, she turned to look at Eleanor and said,
"I don't think so. You slayed him yourself, Eleanor. We all saw his body getting sliced in half. So there is no way he is still alive, right?"
Well, I am though. But do they not have the concept of rebirth?
But she wasn't done there and continued,
"Beside that, I serve the goddess of life. I already had strong connection with her from my birth and it has intensified even more after the path of ascension opened. If the demon king were to get reborn again, she would have told me that already. Even the gods feared his existence, I don't think they will ever let someone like him alive."
Ah, what can I even say?
But contrary to me, Eleanor had different thoughts.
'I will like to see if they dare to touch him. Even if they are Gods, I will kill them all.'
"Hmm, this seems fine now. Let's proceed with the ceremony. The first bath of him."
Ayesha said, arranging the bath for me.
Eleanor smiled at her, but her grip strengthening on me. She walked ahead and gently placed me on the little tub that they had prepared.
I looked down, at the water like things beneath me as Eleanor was putting me inside it.
It was filled with mana so pure that it was visible with naked eyes. The mana was so dense that it created life beneath the tub as I can see faint green grass beneath it which definitely wasn't there before.
My body was half inside the tub. The purification liquid wasn't able to cover me entirely. But it was still a staggering amount, even a drop will be a precious element outside and here I was fortunate enough to take a bath in it on the day I was born.
Let's take my time and enjoy this bath. So, I closed my eyes and let the liquid do it's work.
Eleanor and Ayesha, began to gently pour the liquid all over my body. The scooped the liquid and put in on my head, same like how a mother would bathe her child.
The purification was a slow process as mana takes time to get inside the body and cleanse everything inside.
And slowly, mana was beginning to get inside me. I could feel it all over my body.
All of my pores... they were the gate for mana to enter inside. Travelling through my veins, it reached my heart, and from there to my entire body.
All the impurities that this body held... all of that was coming out in the form of a dark matter.
This purification bath, in truth, doesn't hold much importance to me as what I use is dark mana and not the pure mana. I realized this before when I took the bath once. Though, I will not deny, that was quite enjoyable.
If taken by any other mage or Knight, this bath is enough to help take a leap in their rank.
This would have been so good if only I could use mana... but my demonic core will reject it.
It such a warm and nice feeling... the mana in my body makes me feel as if I am not a child. As if I have turned into an adult.
But this feeling will disappear soon, once this ends.
"After this, the journey ahead will be a smooth sailing for him. He will definitely be a prodigy when he awakens his mana core." Ayesha said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, he will. He is my son after all. And with an aunt like you by his side, he will definitely be someone great."
