Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins! Chapter 188

"The Holy Seal can not only directly connect to the Communication Magic Array of the nearby Church but also send a signal to all the local Church Professionals.

"Because it's a one-time Engraving, it also requires the consumption of quite a few precious Enchantment Potions, so it's not only expensive, but the Church also does not provide this Enchantment service to the public.

"However, Hero, your case is special. Since we must always be ready to counteract the Nightmare's Prediction, we cannot send someone to accompany you outside the city, so this is the only help we can provide."

'This is already more than enough, and whether it's hair dye or Enchantment, they didn't charge me...'

After finishing writing, the Hero shook their head embarrassingly, the silver-white hair as snow also swayed.

'Although I am also a member of the Church, I haven't really done anything for you.'

"Hehe, your recognition of your own Identity is the greatest reward for us."

The Cruising Bishop winked mischievously, his violet eyes gleaming.

"Well then, Hero, I wish you a smooth journey. However, the Border is not like the inland, so you must be very careful," he said seriously.

'I will be careful,' the Hero nodded solemnly in response.

[So, where to go and slay Goblins?]

1. Go to the Adventurer Guild to pick up a quest

2. Leave the city directly

3. Ask the Bishop for information

4. Check with the Army ♛

9. Head to the front lines

10. Critical Success/Extreme Failure

Watching the Hero's departing figure as they waved goodbye and disappeared at the end of the road, the Cruising Bishop let out a sigh tinged with emotion.

"Worthy of being the Saintess in the prophecy, her strength has already neared a Second Transformation in such a short time."

However, the so-called Prediction Magic is actually extremely delicate.

Not only can it be obstructed or altered, but sometimes it can even run counter to reality.

Because Prediction Magic fundamentally involves reading the flow of the world and making predictions based on existing information, it cannot rule out all unforeseen variables and chance occurrences.

The act of prophecy itself sometimes helps ensure the prophecy's fulfillment but at other times becomes the factor causing its Shattering.

In reality, the logic is quite simple: a young Heroess with Phoenix Power and a kind Heart, if she can develop appropriately and joins the Church, she will most likely become the symbol known as the Saintess.

But then, should she be left to develop on her own, without interference; or should she be actively involved in her Growth, letting her become progressively stronger within the Church?

No one can provide the correct answer, but the current Saintess has undoubtedly made her choice.

"It's also time to add the tag of Saintess Candidate to her file."

Harboring confidence in the Hero, the Cruising Bishop turned and entered the Church.

Unaware of the Cruising Bishop's musings, the Hero's silver hair, white as snow, swayed with her light steps as she walked toward the City Defense Army's military camp, as noted on the map.

Many citizens stopped in their tracks and turned their heads as they watched the young girl pass by.

The Border has no shortage of strong individuals or beauties; after all, as one's power increases and they tap into their own potential, most Professionals can possess an extraordinary Temperament.

Nevertheless, the girl's snow-white hair was so distinctive, firmly capturing the gaze of passersby.

'Is that dyed?... Which shop...?'

'With a Familiar by her side... she must be a young miss, with such pure hair color...'

The chatter of the crowd reached her ears, causing the Hero's cheeks to redden slightly, and she quickened her pace subconsciously, yet also appeared more graceful.

After all, she was also a young maiden in her prime, and would not dislike such praise.

'We're here, this is the place—'

[How busy the Army has been recently (Border +30, 100+ signs of an impending Arcane Surge)]

D100+30=d100(74)+30=104

The Hero still remembered the Count's invitation before she set off.

To join the Army... Truthfully, the Hero had never considered this, but when the Count mentioned it, she felt no aversion.

She had once visited the ruins of the military camp, located just outside the city where she grew up. Decades ago, during the war of the Arcane Surge, it was the Army's buildings that provided her with a safe night.

Though that was after she had taken down the Gargoyle that kept watch there.

And it was the soldiers of the City Defense Army who rescued her dearest friend from a Goblin's lair.

Even if they could only bring back the body and not the already shattered Spirit, one couldn't ask for more.

Anyway, as the true fighting force, the Army is the biggest weapon in protecting civilization during an Arcane Surge.

However, although the Hero does not resist joining the Army, that is as far as it goes; she does not possess a strong desire to do so.

After all, the Army is an institution of strict obedience, and it's hard to imagine that after joining, she could still devote all her energy to slaying Goblins.

Compared to Goblins, there are many more Magic Creatures that pose greater danger and are more in need of eradication—such is the policy of the Kingdom, and while the girl does not disagree, she does not wish to measure her actions in such a way.

'Am I being too capricious?'

The Hero looked troubledly at the military camp in front of her, hesitating whether to approach and strike up a conversation.

She had walked the streets for quite a while before reaching this military district, far from the commercial areas, but the military camp was livelier than she imagined. From a distance, the Hero could hear the bustling inside, as if everyone was busily preparing for something.

1. The injured soldiers have returned

2. The Chocobo Cavalry Squad

3. The Scout has flown back in a rush ♛

4. There is a Goblin stench

9. The Count rushed over

10. Critical Success/Extreme Failure

Just as the Hero was lost in thought, the sound of rushing Chocobo feet approached from behind.
