The Kingdom's major inland cities typically had Floating Ship ports.
Using the power of Magic Crystal Stones and Wind Magic, these ports drove Floating Ships to transport goods and people between cities.
Though Floating Ships themselves were not very sturdy, their excellent speed made them extremely important transportation tools within safe airspace.
Floating Ship routes were fixed, as opening stable airways through the turbulent heavenly winds required enormous resources. Thus, the Kingdom often relied on naturally formed, relatively stable wind currents as the basis for these routes.
At the same time, frequent attacks by flying Magic Creatures made conditions for operating Floating Ships even stricter. Only a few cities with safe airspace, equipped with Griffin Knights, could maintain the regular operation of Floating Ship flights.
In the far more perilous border region compared to the inland, conditions for Floating Ships were even more complex and dangerous.
Though the Border City maintained one Floating Ship route thanks to its unique geographical position and formidable defenses, other border cities found it much harder to achieve this. The Border Count always felt deep regret when considering this.
However, even this sole air route had been discontinued for various reasons over recent years.
In recent years, unusual air currents frequently appeared in the Kingdom's airspace. These high-altitude turbid airflows, filled with large amounts of harmful Rage Elixir, caused numerous Floating Ship accidents, leaving few survivors, and the cause and mechanism of these turbid airflows remained unexplained.
As a result, most Floating Ship flights within the Kingdom had been suspended, and people traveling between places had to resort to the most primitive land routes.
